"Where should we go?" Jenn turns on the car ignition.
Jenn's aunt finally came home at 5:00 so we decided to go somewhere, since we were in the house all day.
"How about that park we always went to when we were smaller?" Maia suggests.
"I haven't been there in ages! Everything is probably too small now." I laugh.
"We can try?" Jenn backs out of the driveway and drives out of our neighborhood into the main road.
It was about a 20 minute drive to the park. The sun was out but it was still a bit cool and damp outside. She parked the car and we made our way to the park. Everything was different except for the trees and lake behind it. The slides were bigger, but still small for us. There were monkey bars, swings, the play structure was much bigger then before. The park was deserted no one was here, I was happy, I didn't want to see children running around.
"They changed everything!" Jenn laughs.
"Wow, that sucks." Maia frowns.
"Why are you sad? We came here when we were like 8, they obviously had to change it." I make my way to the swings. There was four instead of two so we all took a swing.
"Swinging used to be the most exciting thing ever, we would swing so high, then jump off." Jenn starts to swing, followed by Maia and I.
We swung and jumped off the swings a couple of times for about half an hour.
"I'm starving, can we go eat?" Maia pats her stomach.
"But I want to go to the lake and throw rocks!" I complain.
"I'm hungry too." Jenn pouts.
"You guys can go eat, and get me some food, but I want to go to the lake."
"Why don't you come with us then we can come back?" Maia suggests.
"It will be too dark by the time we come back." I explain.
"Okay, we'll go then come and pick you up." Jenn shrugs.
"Cool, get me some food too!" I call after them as they walk towards the car. I turn and go to the lake. I walk down a dirt path for about 10 minutes then see the lake come into sight.
I jog to the shore and feel the wind hit across my face. It wasn't to cold so it felt good. The waves brush lazily against the shore then goes back into the current. The sun was getting ready to set, so the water looked beautiful. I took a seat on the shore and watch the waves. About 40 minutes pass by and I hear rustling in the trees. I turn around to see if anyone was there, but I see no one.
I turn back to the lake and pick up a rock to throw it into the water. I hear it again, I look around, but I see no one. I roll my eyes at myself. "No ones here." I talk to myself. I hear a branch crack and I turn around, I see a girl with red hair, brown eyes, and dressed in all black walking towards me.
"Hi?" I get up, surprised to see a girl like her at a park, then again I'm here so I'm not really surprised.
"Hello there." Her voice gives me the shivers, but I don't show that I'm a little intimidated by her.
"You live around here?" I smile, as she comes closer to me.
She let's out a laugh, okay she's really creepy, "No darling. I wouldn't want to live here even if I did." She smiles, but it looks like an evil one to me.
"Then why are you here?" I choke.
"Don't be scared, I'm not going to hurt you." She rolls her eyes.
