Chapter 25

Raph POV

I woke with a start and looked beside me.

"That's weird." I said. Sky wasn't next to me. I stood and stretched, happy to be standing up. A week in a hospital bed could mess a human body up. I walked out the door and looked at the door that led too where Jacob's car and my motorcycle were parked in the alley. I went over and saw that not only were Sky's shoes gone but Jacobs truck keys too.

I panicked. I did the first thing I could think of.

I ran to the room next to mine and opened the door.

Donnie sat up. He jumped out of bed.

"Is everything...okay?" He said, his voice slurred heavily with sleep.

"I nee you to do something." I said. He nodded. He pulled out his shell phone.

"Tell me where Sky is. She has her phone." I said. He gave me a weird look but typed away at him phone.

"She's at her house." He said sleepily. I nodded and ran out of the room. I didn't wanna draw attention to myself so I just jogged the less then a mile to Sky's house. Even my human body was pretty fit. I looked down and mentally face palmed. I had no shirt on and was running in just jeans.

"Oh well." I said.

I got to Sky's house and opened the door. I heard a yell upstairs. I walked slowly up the stairs to a dim hallway. I heard two voices at the very end of the hall.

One of them belonged to Skyler, the other belonged to another girl. I came to a door an peaked in. Sky was standing puffy-eyed with a girl with long black hair.

"Oh yeah....and...I have a secret. Do you wanna know where I've been?" Sky asked. The girl nodded eagerly.

"I met this guy..." She started slowly. The girl had a huge smile on her face.

"Really! Tell me every detail." She squealed.

"Here's your every detail" I said, deciding to let them know that I was there. Sky jumped and turned. When she saw me she glared at me.

Wait"...THAT'S HIM!!!" The girl, that I'm assuming is Veronica, asked.

"Welll..." Sky said in a teasing voice said.

I walked over and kissed her forehead.

"Yes." I said. Veronica laughed.

"How did you know I was here? Your suppose to be asleep." She said.

"So are you." I shot back.

"Wait, did you have Donnie track me!" She asked. I blushed and looked at my feet.

"Hey! That's cheating!" She said, as she pouted. I kissed her before pulled away smiling.

"Boohoo." I whispered, smirking.

"Now, Veronica, is it? I'm stealing your best friend. She's mine." I said. I threw her easily over my shoulder and she laughed

"Text me!" Veronica yelled as we left the house.

"You have to remember. I'm human now. I can do things I couldn't before, like steal you from your friend." I said. I felt her relax a little more slumped on mr shoulder.

"I noticed." She said, giggling again.

I laughed.

I steeped into the lair and closed the door quietly.

"Ya know, you could put me down now." She said. I laughed.

"Nope." I said. She groaned as I walked into my room. I finally put her down on the bed and she had a pout on her face. She looked up at me and I crossed my arms and smirked at her.

She burst into laughter and fell over on the bed. I laughed and plopped down next to her.

"You are such a nut." I said, still laughing.

I laid down and wrapped my arm around her and she stiffened.

"Sky.." I said. She looked up at me shamefully, but immediately looked away.

"Sky. I won't hurt you. Ever. Just calm down." I said. I felt a drop on my hand. I pulled her tighter into my arms and she broke down.

"I see him. He's everywhere." She sobbed into my bare chest. I felt her tears slip down my chest. Her breathing started to gradually even out.

She sighed and laughed.

"What?" I asked. She sat up and looked at me with a tired face.

"Your just cute." She said. I kissed her gently. I gently rested my hand on her arm. She cried out in pain.

"I'm sorry! Are you okay?" I asked in worry. She tried to smile but failed.

I moved her shirt sleeve and couldn't believe my eyes.

"Di...did he do this?" I asked.

Her arm was black and blue and purple. She stood up and put face in her hands.

"Do you want to see the rest?" She said so quietly I almost didn't hear her.

I was speechless. I just nodded.

She slowly turned around and lifted her shirt over her head.

I gaped at her. She was bruised along her sides, on her back, on her stomach, arms and just everywhere.

"He..he dis this, didn't he?" I asked again. She nodded and pulled her shirt back on.

She turned and collapsed into my arms.

I pulled her into my arms and and we just laid in silence, beside the sounds of Sky's soft crying.

She eventually cried herself to sleep and I settled in and happily joined her.
