I wanted to tell you the truth
that I was
scared
to lose
you,
but you were gone
with the fairies
just like I would be
in the middle
of the day.
it was 3 in the morning;
thinking of old things
getting up for a drink
whoever said it was water
I needed whiskey
it will help
I swear
the burn ran down
as my eyes closed
up against
the pillow
while I watched
your eyelids
twitch
like you had no clue
that I needed you.
