Nobody ever told me
it would be this hard
rolling around in the dark
under these sheets
thinking damn
I won't ever get the chance to see you again
there was nothing inside a dark hole in my heart
living with darkness
these sheets wrapped around my head
walking around the house with bandages
scarred
yet sacred
to the depths in between
these walls that cave me in
a habitat closing in on me,
the darkness which possessed me.
