It was like
every little piece
was magnified
by your heartbeat
pulling me in and out
all the way back and forth
using words to
stay silent
in the grim eye
of the moon
while the halo
swings at noon
and now we're falling
down and out
of the sheets
wrapped around us;
whoever said
it was lust
that brought us
right here
together
woman to
woman?
we tied ourselves
at the tip
of our lips
just like every
man to
man,
or every
man to
woman;
we do it all
for the same
reasons...
