Harry woke up twisted with Draco's body. It had been the first time in forever since he had actually slept and it felt more than refreshing. His lips still felt swollen and he smiled. Pushing his head back into Draco's warm neck. He smelled his skin and ran his fingers up his back. He wanted more. Last night had just not been enough.
"Harry," Draco croaked. "What time is it?" Harry didn't move. "Harry?"
"Yes, Draco?"
"What time is it?"
"I don't know, I can't see the clock."
"Well then sit up and look at it," Draco said playfully, jabbing him in the stomach. Harry tightened his grip around him.
"I don't want to move."
"We're going to have to move eventually."
"No, it's Sunday. We don't have anywhere to be."
He felt Draco's body relax against him and he kissed his neck. They had the whole day to themselves. Just as they had begun to get comfortable once more, there was a loud rapping on the door. They looked at each other, silently giving the responsibility of getting out of bed to get the door to the other.
"If it's important they'll come back later," Draco said. Harry agreed with any excuse to not get up was good for him. The knocking got louder.
"If you two don't open the door right now, I'll knock it down." a voice from behind the door screamed. They both stared wide-eyed at the other and Harry bolted out of the bed, wrapping the bed sheet around his waist as he went. He opened the door just a crack and looked at a very agitated looking Mrs.Anderson. She held a basket in one hand and a child's hand in the other.
"Well, are you just going to stand there or are you going to let me in?" she tapped her foot and glared at him.
"Erm...I kinda don't have any clothes on, at the moment" he said awkwardly. He heard Draco snuffle a laugh from behind him and he shot him a glare. He didn't have a chance to make sure Draco saw him before he was shoved backward with the door. Draco reacted quickly, rolling off the side of the bed and shoving a pillow over his crotch area. The tips of his ears turned red.
"What the hell are you doing?" he growled at her.
She put the basket she was holding on the table and started unloading pieces of clothing, " I am getting you ready to go to church." she said, throwing a black button-up shirt at him. "someone has to save you from hell."
"As much as I would love that, I really wouldn't,"Draco said. "So if you could just leave now, that would be great."
Harry could tell he was losing his patience. She threw a red button-up shirt at Harry and then started unpacking crosses from the basket. "Oh I know you don't want to, but I must insist, it would be a shame if you were to suffer eternal damnation so you must learn the ways to heaven! You sinners need to repent."
"You sinners!" the child said.
"That's right honey, it's a sin to be with a person of the same gender," she said in a voice that people use to talk to children with.
"You know what?" Draco yelled. He pulled on his jeans and strode over to her. She stood straighter and glared at him when he stopped in front of her.
"Draco," Harry said in a warning voice. He didn't want him to do anything illegal, and there was a very high probability of it. He shoved the black shirt into her chest."Draco." Harry said again, taking a step forward. He wasn't sure if he was ready to pull Draco off of her if he attacked.
"You need to leave. Right now. There is nothing wrong with what we are doing. Nothing!" he yelled with such great force, the child grabbed her leg and cried. "Love is love, it doesn't matter who it is, it's love! Now leave us alone! I am not going to stop this and I am not going to believe that it is a sin, because it is not. I don't care what your dumb bible says, I am happy with this, and nothing will ever change my mind. Now leave or I'll be forced to call the please men!"
Harry relaxed, he was fine with his yelling at her. He felt like yelling at her too. Draco followed them across the room and slammed the door shut behind them, making the whole room shake. He turned around and started to pace the room angrily, punching the air in front of him and murmuring "there's nothing wrong with what we're doing." Harry let him pace for a while, to be honest, he found it quite attractive when he did this.
Harry sat at the kitchen table, still wearing the bed sheet around his waist. "Draco. Would you calm down."
"Calm down? How? That evil woman makes me madder than Umbridge did. Okay, maybe that's a little over the top but can't stand her. All she does is try to break us apart and try to convert us to her stupid religion! I do not worship some guy whom I can't even see."
"So you don't believe in god then?" Harry inquired.
"What? No." Draco continued to pace.
"Okay, how about an afterlife?"
"You want to know what I think? I think that all this nonsense about a god or an afterlife is just mortal beings way of getting over grief. It's their way of coping with it. 'Well we don't have to feel sad about their death if there was a life after this life.' what a joke." he took a glance at Harry who looked horrified. "No, Harry. I don't know. Please don't listen to my opinion, I could be wrong, I don't know."
"No, it's fine." Harry snarled.
"Hey, don't listen to me. I'm sorry, I know you've lost people and want to believe in life after death, so just don't listen to my opinion, that's all it is an opinion. I could be wrong."
Harry wasn't really listening, he knew that Draco's opinion shouldn't affect what he thought, but it was hard to let it not bother him. He wanted to believe in life after death. He wanted to believe that he could see his mother and his father again. Sirius, Dobby, Fred, all of the friends that he had lost. He wanted to believe that he could see them again. But what Draco had said, made him think differently about it. "Whatever you selfish prat. Say whatever you like to try and redeem yourself." he stood from his seat and locked himself in the bathroom. It was the only place where he could be alone.
