It was a quiet evening. My mother had informed me that she had something for me for my 19th birthday. I sat waiting in the dining room with my father who was giving me an odd look.
After a couple minutes my mother walked in with a neatly wrapped box the size of a loaf of bread. She sat across from me and smiled, "Okay Crim I know you're confused but we want to give you a gift before we explain what is going on," I of course said nothing as I slowly slid the box my way and opened it. There lay a crossbow that would fit neatly on my forearm...my mother was right when I felt confused and looked up at them with slightly narrowed eyes. "What is this about," I said a little more harsher then I meant to. My father flinched slightly and spoke up, "Crimson I know you are confused...see throughout your studies and training you have become a very strong and admirable witch for your mother and I. So our boss would like you to be part of his group," I glared his way in slight irritation, "Father I have never met your boss. I've been kept in this God forsaken house my entire life, how would that even be possible?" My father sighed, "My boss.....is Lord Voldemort." I scoffed in disbelief, how could they have never told me. So this is what this was all about...I was being trained to be a Death Eater...I knew something was up ever since my 17th birthday...
I sat in my room as I stared out the window towards the lake, I hated it here. My mother is the only one I trusted, my father was the culprit of the pain I have endured for so long. Losing my brother, and beaten half to death everytime I messed something up. I knew it was his fault Kyle died...mother knew as well, but was to afraid to say anything against him..I however..was not. Of course I would get lashes each time I spoke against him. But I didn't care...he deserved to die.
I couldn't help but cringe at the fact I would be meeting Voldemort tomorrow afternoon...I do not and will never believe in what he does, but for my mother's sake I had to join. Father said he would test my skills but he wasn't sure how...I will admit I felt a little anxious but since I was a very well trained Occlumens and Legitimate I should be able to keep anyone out of my mind. I was and always will be on gaurd.
I sighed as I layed down on my queen sized bed and stared at the now darkened ceiling wondering rather I should run or not, but then again, something might happen to my mother if I do. I grunted in defeat as I rolled over and drifted off to sleep with a very sour expression. What ever happens tomorrow I better be prepared.Authors notes: thanks for reading this is a new story that I came up with overnight. I'm a big Severus fan so prepare for the feels
