   Two weeks later

I had managed as much as I could with the money I received from the trinkets I sold but it won't hold them off to long.
I sighed as I rubbed my face of the sleepiness that started to settle as I looked over the rest of the debts I still owed. I knew I would get it taken care of but the stress was still building up and it was driving me crazy, I could barely touch the food that Cloe would bring me, if it became old she would come and just replace it without a word, she told me only once that she was worried about me, I just smiled and waved her off with a " I'm alright," but I knew she wasn't buying it.
I stretched my arms and stood deciding to do something else other then wallow away in self pity. I walked out into the hall and down to the sitting area where the elves sat around the fireplace. I smiled softly their way, "Hey guys," they all waved as I sat in the armchair nearest to the fire, after a few moments Cloe came in from the hall, the others started leaving the room, I looked up confused, "My lady, A Lucius Malfoy is hear to see you," I turned to look back at the fire, "Send him in, you guys can retire for the day, get some rest Cloe," she bowed her head as she leaves the room with a soft "Yes Mistress," Shortly after, I hear the door open softly and close with a slight *click*.
"Lucius....I wasn't expecting you," I turned my head to meet those icy blue eyes, his hair neatly pulled back in a bow, allowing his chiseled features to show. His eyes met the floor as he took a couple steps forward, he was quiet for a brief moment, "I thought I'd pay you a visit, my son has arrived at Hogwarts and I am not needed at the Ministry at the moment," I nodded softly as I stared at the fire, "I was wondering how you were doing...but now I see, not much has changed since that day," my fist clenched at the mention of the day I had to leave him...and Severus behind. I swallowed the lump in my throat before speaking, "Lucius, you're right. Not much has changed...I'm still alone in this godforsaken house, my mother is still missing... you have a son...and I still have yet to find out what had happened to Severus," he glanced at me then down at the fire, "Severus is a professor at Hogwarts," my eyes slightly widened at that information, "Really, Sev didn't peg me the teaching type," he took an unsteady breath, "It...was his way out," I nodded once, my eyes never leaving the green flames. So that was it huh, they both got away without a scratch, Lucius became part of the Ministry as Severus became a teacher......and I became nothing....how embarrassing.
He walked towards me at a steady pace until he reached the side of the chair, he squatted down to my height, goose bumps lining my skin as his eyes met mine, "Lucius...," He waited for me to continue, "I'm glad you're alright, I was so frightened that something had happened," a small smirk appeared on his face as he looked at me with slight fondness, "Well here I am, I'm honestly surprised to see you back at home, I thought you'd go into hiding," I shook my head, "This was the only place, and since both my parents aren't here, I'm the Mistress of this house now, I'm surprised the elves were still here," he stared at me for a second, which made me start to grow nervous, his blue eyes searched mine for something but I couldn't figure out what. He stood slowly and walked over to the shelf on my far left, he searched it for a couple minutes before grabbing a record and walking to the wall behind me I'm guessing to put some music on. I waited patiently as classical music played through the room, when he came back into view his cape was no longer present on his shoulders nor was his cane in sight, he looked very handsome as he stretched out his hand to me, "May I have this dance?" I blushed lightly as a smirk played on my lips. I placed my hand in his gently, I lifted up off the chair as he led me to the middle of the room, he turned to me fully placing one of my hands on his shoulder and keeping the other firmly in his, his other hand placed lightly on my waist. We began to sway to the music as he held me closely to him. He smelled the same as the very first time I met him, the memories flashing in my head as if it was yesterday, I couldn't help but let out a small giggle, his eyes shown confusion so I spoke, "It's just that you smell exactly the same as the very first time we met, I do believe we were in a similar position," he smiled down at me, "Ah yes I do remember that, I had commented your eyes," I nodded, "I'm not sure why, I do like yours better," he blushed lightly as we continued to sway to the music, him twirling me every once in a while.
When the music finished, I bowed which earned a smile from him, "I thank you kind sir for the dance," he chuckled lightly, "You are an odd one," I smiled, "Oh trust me I already knew that," at that moment I glanced at the clock, time had passed so fast I didn't even notice it was already passed Eleven, i looked up at him just to catch him starring at me, he looked down fast as I smirked, "So Lucius, it's getting late," he nodded as he looked at the clock, I smiled, "Would you like to stay for dinner, or perhaps stay here for the night? Wouldn't want you getting lost in the Dark," he rose an eyebrow suggestively and smirked, "Are you sure, I wouldn't want to intrude," I smiled "don't be ridiculous, you know you are always welcome here, you're a good friend of mine and will be treated as such," he grinned as I turned on my heel and headed to the dinning room as the elves were already setting up the table for the both of us, they severed us and headed off.
The longer we sat there the more I admired his features, he was so elegant with every move he made, he was very polite and calm, his lips always moved with ease as he talked as if it took zero effort. His back was straight as he ate, his hair actually falling to one side as he leaned slightly to grab his drink, at that moment his eyes met mine, his eyes lighting up with a smirk as he took a sip, he placed the cup down and smiled, "Something on your mind?" I shook my head, "It's nothing really," he leaned back against the chair with a smirk, he tapped his finger patently, "Now Crimson, I do believe I've known you long enough to know that it is never nothing," I laughed awkwardly as I shifted in my seat, "You know Lucius you are to smart for your own good," he crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow, "And what is it that your thinking about then?" I sighed as my eyes met his, "I was just admiring you, that's all" he smirked, "Really? What exactly about me are you admiring?" I chuckled, as I leaned forward, "Wouldn't you like to know," he smirked, "Oh you sly devil," I smile as I clean off my mouth, "The one and only," I stand as put my hands on waist, with a flick of my wrist the dishes are cleaned and put up. I smirk, "So have you made up your mind?," He stands and walked over to my side of the table, "It's already late, Ill survive one night here," I nodded, "Good I'd be to worried to let you leave anyway," he nodded as I turned on my heel and led him to one of the guest bedrooms, down the hall from mine, I smiled, "I'm down the hall if you need me, call on Cloe if you need any towels or anything of that sort," he nodded as he looked around the room, "This room looks used," I looked down as memories swarmed my head, "It was Kyles room...my brother," he was quiet for a second, "I'm...sorry, Crimson," I put my hand up to stop him, "It's alright Lucius, it was years ago, he's gone, so is... everyone else," he walked to me and lifted my chin so that our eyes could meet, "I'm here now, if I would have known where you had gone to, I would have came to find you, me and Severus missed you deeply, I'm sure he'd love to see you again, then again, he is alot more quiet then normal, he doesn't talk much, not even to me," I nodded, and smiled up at him, "Thanks Lucius," I snaked my amrs around his torso, his body was tense for a second before relaxing and returning the hug, "You're welcome, if you ever need any company, don't be shy, just send a letter and I'll receive it," I nodded as I let go and yawn, he chuckled, "You might want to get to bed," I shrugged, "Hopefully I can actually sleep, I haven't slept much in three days, these damn debts I have to pay off, it's driving me crazy," his eyes focused on my face as those words left my mouth, "I'm sure it'll be fine, now get to bed," he rubbed my back as I smile and walk down to my room and close the door behind me, I walk to my bed and stare at it, realizing how tired I really was I collapsed on the bed with a big yawn finally dozing off with Lucius on my mind, I'm so glad to finally have someone here for me, it's so relieving.
