Remus' POV

Winter, 1976

It had been years since we secretly dated. Now, Both of us were in our sixth year, Lily, Holly and I were some of the Prefects appointed for this year. This Christmas, Lily went to the Potter's instead of Holly. She said Lily deserved to be welcomed as she was at the Potter's. This time, Holly and I stayed at the school for Christmas, since she couldn't go home and Mum and Dad suggested for me to stay with her after I owned them I got a girlfriend. They were all excited to meet her next summer.

21st December, Everyone had travelled back to their homes, Holly and I went to the library after sending everyone out of the castle. We went for a light study. She was sitting beside me, playing with her quill. She seemed so tired that day. We had been studying for exams since the morning. Despite going home for Christmas, she decided to stay at the school before all the madness kicks in. I decided to stay behind for her. Peter went home just now, so did  James. Sirius went to Potter Manor and Lily for the first time went to Potter Manor and agreed to stay there for Christmas. I really hoped she'd be less harmed when she stayed at the Manor.

"What are you doing here, Mudblood," Lucius Malfoy came and hissed at Holly. 

She took her wand and hexed his mouth as she then ran out of the library. 

"Prim," I pushed the platinum blonde boy until he landed on his arse on the floor. "At least, no one would hear about you falling on your arse, Malfoy," I shouted as he shot a glare on me.

I ran and finally found her sitting in one of the benches in the corridors leading us to Transfiguration class. She was crying. 

"Prim," I came and kneeled in front of her.

"John," She cried into my shoulder. 

"I'm here, don't worry," I hugged her.

"So this is how it hurts Lily when Snivellus told her this kind of things." She cried on my shoulder. 

"That was how it hurts me when he caught me red-handed in a full moon turning into the hideous creature," I said as I kissed the top of her head. "Everything will be okay. if we are together," I hugged her tight.

"You're not hideous, John," she said. "I love you," She tiptoed to reach my lips and kissed me on the lips.

"Oh, Prim. I had been waiting to hear that word," I teased her as I wiped her tears. "Never let Malfoy get to you like that, okay?" I looked at her.

"Never," She smiled and hugged my waist. Well, to be clear, I was a foot taller than her and if that matters, she would hardly touch my head because Holly is the type who was too lazy to tiptoe. She'd use me to get the books she wanted to read at the library though. 

"Hey, Prim. why were you researching about yellow aconites?" I asked as I rolled open her parchments.

"They said, yellow aconites were proven to be able to help a werewolf defying the moon rather than the purple ones," She said.

"Oh Prim," I looked at her. Now I know why she was so determined in joining Prongs, Wormtail and Padfoot, she wants to always be by my side, be my guardian angel.

"It pains me to see you turning, it pains me to see everyone avoided you because Severus tried telling people about what you can be during times. I don't care about all of that stuff, John. I don't care anymore. I want to be happy with you. I love you," She said as we walked to the common room. 

"Lupus Morsu" I said as we reached the portrait of The Fat Lady.

"Welcome here, Mr Prefect, Miss Evans,"  The lady said. 

"Good Evening," We said in unison as we walked into the common room.

"Go get changed, meet me by the fireplace at 6 PM, I'll get the house elves to prepare your favourites," I said as we climbed the stairs and separated to the respective dormitories.

"Prefect, huh?" She teased me, wiggling her eyebrows. She sat down beside me by the fire and snuggled into my arm.

"Stop teasing me. it was nothing. You are one of us as well," I shrugged as I kissed her forehead.

"I was named prefect just because McGonagall said so," She said. 

"Doesn't matter though, you're still one of the notable students. Heard you got a letter from Molly Weasley?" I said as she fiddled on an envelope.

"Yeah, she asked me to move in with the Weasley's together with Lily. Plus she wanted me to help taking care of Bill, Charlie, and Percy. She also asked me to be Fred and George's godmother. this summer is going to be their Christening" She said, showing a picture of three little-redheaded boys with their parents. "Bill is 7 this year, Charlie is 5, and Percy is going to be 3 soon."

"That sounded better than staying with your parents though," I said as I caressed her hair.

"But who's gonna be with you when you're facing the hard times?" She asked. "Can you stay at The Burrow together with me?" she pouted. Merlin! she looked so cute when she pouted.

"I'll write to Molly to see if I could stay with them as well. Besides I told Mum and Dad that I had something coming this summer." I grinned and took a parchment and quill from my leather postman bag and began writing.

"John," She called me affectionately.

"Yeah?" I said, still writing the letter to Molly.

"I... uh... I.. came to Professor Slughorn lately. I asked if he could teach me to brew a yellow wolfsbane potion." She stuttered.

"And?" I said, folding the letter after finishing it.

"I made a flask of it.  with the help of Madam Pomfrey too," she grinned holding up a red flask with the potion in it.

"I love you, Prim," I smiled.

"And for the potion making and hard work thing, Slughorn gave Gryffindor 100 points." She grinned.

"MERLIN!! We're going to win the house cup by spring if we win the Quidditch cup as well," I said as I kissed her lips. "You are totally a genius, love," I hugged her.

"Says my boyfriend who aced most of the degree spells in Charms class and Defense Against the Dark Arts class." She said, drawing the picture on my chest with his finger.

"So, this is what you guys did when we left?" James appeared behind the couch as everybody else did. 

"James, Sirius, Lily, When did you all got here?" I asked calmly.

"Just now I guess. We went back a little bit earlier so that we could celebrate a new year with you two. And don't forget, Quidditch practice starts tomorrow at 5 AM, Seeker Evans," James said as he handed Holly a Moontrimmer. he knew she apparently longed for that broom for quite a while since she started Quidditch. 

"James It's a Moontrimmer," She said staring at the broomstick in her hand.

"It's your Christmas present," James said.

"But James, it's so expensive," She whined.

"Your Cleansweep one is so ancient and it wasn't as fast as this one. and you always admired that when we went for a school supply shopping at Diagon Alley." James explained.

"Thanks, James," She grinned.

"Use it well, Hols. Practice tomorrow. don't be late," He smirked.

"Will do, cap," She saluted and hugged James.

"Lily, you got a present from Molly Weasley," I handed Lily a knitted sweater Molly made for each of us.
