Holly's POV
The classroom seemed empty. it was almost 6 PM and most of the classes were already over. Everyone had already left the classrooms to have their dinner at the Great Hall. Everyone but Harry and Cassie. They walked slowly into Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom where Remus and I were still cleaning up the classroom from the grindylows and all the creatures Remus decided to show off to the class that day. I was unaware that Harry and Cassie walking into the classroom when I conjured a silent Patronus charm and a Borzoi came running out of my wand and ran around the room. I still have that. I still have all those happy memories before the wizarding war.
"Aunt Holly, what was that?" Cassidy asked.
"Oh Cassie, Harry, there you are," I said. "Johnnie dear, Harry and Cassidy are here."
"Harry. Cassidy, There you are. You came." Remus walked out of our office and walked down the stairs slowly.
"Are you sure about this, Harry, Cassidy?" I looked at Harry as the Borzoi vanished away from their sight.
"This is very advanced magic. well beyond the Ordinary Wizarding Level." Remus warned with concern.
"Yes, Aunt Holly, Professor Lupin. We are sure," the twins nodded in sync, just like Lily and I. the tears had been threatening me to slip off my eyes. I remembered Lily.
"It's okay, Prim," Remus said as he squeezed my shoulder.
"Well, everything's prepared. The spell we are going to teach you is called the Patronus Charm." Remus said as he walked down to the casket located in the middle of the classroom.
"Did you ever hear of it?" I asked the twins.
"No" they both shook their heads.
"A Patronus is a positive force. For the wizard who conjures one. it works as a shield, with the Dementor feeding on it rather than him. But in order for it to work, you need to think of a memory." Remus explained.
"Not just any memory, a very happy memory, a very powerful memory," I said. I closed my eyes and said a non-verbal incantation in my mind before I swished my wand and a silver wisp in a form of Borzoi came running around me.
"Wow," Cassidy gawked. "Can it appear in a different form of an animal for different individuals?" She asked.
"It comes into different kinds of animals according to your personality, Cass," I grinned.
"Can you do this?" Remus looked at the twins as he lit on the candles.
"Yes." They nodded in sync.
"Very well. Close your eyes. Concentrate. Explore your past. Do you have a memory?" Remus asked the twins and they nodded. "Allow it to fill you up. Lose yourself within it. Then speak the incantation, Expecto Patronum." He instructed slowly.
"Expecto Patronum." The twins said in unison.
"Very good." I nodded.
"Shall we? Wand at the ready." I instructed as Remus walked to the casket and opened to reveal a boggart in the shape of a Dementor.
"Expecto Patronum!" Harry and Cassie shouted. But nothing came out. on the other hand, the lights were out. "Expecto... Expecto... Expect..." and both of them fell onto the floor as I stood in front of them and cast a silvery wisp came out of my wand and sent the boggart back into the casket.
"Here we go. Come on. Sit up. Deep breaths." Remus helped the twins to sit back down after the attack and I turned the candles back on.
It's all right. I didn't expect you to do it the first time. That would have been remarkable.
"Here, eat this. You'll feel better." Remus snapped a chocolate bar into four chunks and gave each piece to the four of us.
"Come on, Prongslettes, eat up," I grinned as I sat beside Cassidy and Remus took a seat beside Harry.
"That's one nasty dementor." Harry munched on his chocolate.
"Oh, no, no, no. That was a boggart, Harry." I shook my head and helped Cassie with her dizziness.
"A boggart. The real thing would be worse. Much, much worse." Remus said as he patted the younger's shoulder. "As a matter of interest, what were you thinking? Which memory did you choose?" He asked with curiosity.
"The first time I rode a broom," Harry said.
"My first quidditch match," Cassie said.
"That's not good enough. Not nearly good enough." Remus shook his head gently. He then stood and lit up the candles again.
"Anything stronger?" I asked as I squeezed Cassie's hand.
"There's another. It's not happy, exactly. Well, it is." Harry said he looked like he was trying to remember something. He walked to the candles and played with the fire. "It's the happiest I've ever felt but it's complicated." He said.
"I may be feeling that it's similar to mine," Cassie said.
"Is it strong?" I asked and the twins nodded.
"Then let's give it a try. You feel ready?" Remus said as the twins stood in front of the casket.
"Just do it," Harry said as Remus waved his hand to open the casket and it revealed the boggart in a shape of dementor flying against the twin.
"Wands at the ready," I commanded as I motioned my hand to get the wands ready for the incantation.
"Expecto Patronum!" They shouted, but nothing happened.
"Expecto Patronum!" Both of them shouted louder this time and a silver light came out in forms of a doe and a stag coming out of their wand. James and Lily. I fell down on my knees and cried. I saw James and Lily even in the twins' patronuses.
"Yes!" Remus beamed as the doe and the stag sent the boggart back into the casket. "Well done, Harry. Cassidy. Well done!" He complimented both.
"I think I've had enough for today," Remus said as he walked to me and hugged me until I stopped crying.
'It's their patronuses, John' I said in my thoughts.
'I know, Prim.' He nodded and kissed my forehead.
"Aunt Holly are you okay?" Cassie asked as she sat beside me.
"Yes. Sit down. Here." I nodded and wiped away my tears. I then gave her a bar of chocolate while Remus gave Harry another one.
"Eat this, it helps. It really helps." He told the kids to eat it.
"And just so you know, Harry. I think you'd have given your father a run for his money. And that is saying something." Remus continued. I barely understood what he meant but I leaned on his shoulder anyway. it's comfortable that way.
"And you, Cassidy. you are a lot like my sister. with James' eyes, hair and personality." She whispered to the younger female.
"I was thinking of him," Harry said.
"And Mum," Cassie added.
"Seeing their faces. They were talking to us, Just talking." Harry completed the sentence.
"That's the memory we chose. I don't even know if it's real." Cassie said as she leaned on my shoulder, I put my arm protectively around her shoulder.
"But it's the best we have," Harry said and I nodded.
"I think I'll make another best memory out of you two," I grinned and hugged the both of them. The twins, Lily's twins. the only treasure Lily had left for me. I promised myself to put my life on them. protect them even if I had to die.
