He first noticed her in the streets. She was dark, with long brown hair. Her name was Anne. He stared at her, and she saw him staring. She gave him a smile, and started to walk away. He got out of this trance and ran after her.
"Hello, sir,"Anne says, and looks Carlyle intensely in his eyes.
"May I ask for you name?"Carlyle asks, still enhanced by her beauty.
"Anne is my name. Anne Wheeler. What is yours?" Anne asks.
"Carlyle. Phillip Carlyle,"Carlyle responds.
Anne gets a sad look in her eyes, as if she knows that the love she has for Carlyle will not happen.
"Have you been to the theater, Anne?" Carlyle asks.
"No, I've never had enough money. But I would really love to go sometime," Anne replies.
"And I would love to take you, Anne," Carlyle breathes out softly.
Anne smiled, then nodded her head slightly and walked away. This time he didn't go after her, he just watched her walk away until she was out of sight.
