It was her. Peridot O'Neil. I stared into her eyes as my breath hitched, shit say something you idiot!
"H-Hey.." my voice cracked and I cursed myself. "Sorry about that.." I rubbed my shoulder out of a nervous habit. I looked down and saw a skateboard deck on the floor, I immediately picked it up and handed it to Peridot.
"Oh it's Alright, shit happens." She pulled a half smile, taking the deck from my hands. I looked at the broad. It had a skeleton with blood oozing out of its ribs, roses spread out across the broad, the word 'Deathwish' was written on a red ribbon that wrapped around the skeleton, along with the word 'Skateboards'. I looked back up to Peridot.
"Hey you're that girl from school!" Peridot laughed and I blushed, "Yeah." I nodded. Peridot smiled warmly at me.
"I never asked for your name.." she chuckled.
"Oh.. um Lapis Lazuli.." I my heart jump when she extended her hand out to me, I hesitated, but took her hand.
"Peridot O'Neil at your service." Peridot laughs as our hands shake, her hand was a unusually soft and warm. When her hand left mine it felt cold. I looked down at the skateboard once again, mainly to pull my eyes away from hers. I took a deep breath and looked back at her. I saw Peridot hand the Trasher hoodie I planned on buying in her hand, she handed back to me.
"You dropped this." She smiled, I gently took the hoodie back from her and smiled back at her, softly.
"So... you skate?" I asked as I tried to start some kind of conversation.
"Yeah," she held up the skateboard deck in her hand, "I'm gonna buy this.. my other deck is pretty wore out.... What about you?" She asked. I shook my head, "No.. I've wanted to learn for years though." I rubbed my shoulder again.
"Well why don't you?" Peridot raises an eyebrow.
"I never knew anyone who knew how... I tried YouTube videos, but they don't help me much..." I explained. Peridot nodded.
"Well... I could teach you.. if you wanted me too that is." Peridot smiled, they way she spoke to me. She spoke like we've known each other since birth, like we've spent every day together. My heart skipped, well it felt like it... I stared into her eyes once again. How the hell were they so beautiful... my eyes slid down her body. She was wearing the same clothes from this morning. It was only then I realized her curves. I shut my eyes tight and look back up to her. Shaking thought out of my head. She raised her eyebrow at me, "Lapis?" She asked. Shit she asked my something!
"Oh um... sorry what did you say..?" I stuttered.
"I could teach you if you wanted me too." She repeated. I smiled awkwardly, rubbing my shoulder once again. "Really..? I don't want to trouble you...." I felt my heart jump once again when she smiled at me. "Trouble me? Aw no, I'd love to help you out, Lazuli." She chuckled and playfully punched my arm. I let a smiles tug at the left corner of my lips. "Well... thanks, I'd love too.."
Peridot smiles, "Well... Do you have a skateboard?" She asked and raised an eyebrow at me. I shook my head no, and once again rubbed my shoulder. "Well im pretty sure I could find you one of mine, just to teach you the basics.. then once we get those down we'll see about getting you a new one. Sound good?" Peridot smiles, and I nod. "Sounds good." I smile. I then gasp softly, "Oh hey? Can I have your phone number.....?" I realized the question sounded weird. "Ya know... so we can make plans for... lessons?" I added. Peridot smiled, "Yeah. Of course." She pulled out her phone, I got mine out and waited. She rattled off her number add I added the number into my contacts. I've officially had the skaters phone number. I put her name as 'Peridot😎' I then texted the number a generic text.

Lapis: Hey... it's Lapis. :)

I heard Peridots phone ding and then saw her smile at the phone then back to me. "Okay, Lapis. We'll make plans later. Text me when you're free." Peridot chuckles, I nod. "Well.. I better get going, I have to meet back up with my friends." I jab my thumb towards the door, Peridot nods. "Yeah, Well.. text me when you can. See ya later, Lazuli." She winked and turned to walk the other way, towards the skate trucks. I mentally screamed when she winked at me.
Jesus take the wheel...
Peridot O'Neil is going to be the death of me...
I quickly bought the hoodie and left the store.
