The day had mainly been just me getting comfortable with riding the skateboard and feet movements, we stopped around 6 o'clock, Peridot offered to take me to Baskin-Robins for ice cream before they close. Of course, I said yes. I mean who wouldn't? Ice cream with a cute skateboarding nerd. Now that's the dream. Okay... my dream... but whatever. In a effort to 'look cool' I decided to use my new found 'skills' to ride the skateboard the whole way there. Peridot did the same, a little ways in front of me. That I was a little glad for, so if I embarrassed myself she wouldn't witness it. While we were gliding down the empty road Peridot rode up to the sidewalk and then up a small ramp, That was actually the entrance to a coffee shop. She made a small ollie and then proceeded to land of a metal bench, grinding across it, then calmly jumping off. Something most would just shrug off, those would be the one whom been doing this forever. But I didn't shrug it off, I stood there with wide eyes. Trying to replay the movement in my mind. I could be bold and try the same thi- No, Lapis. you'll actually die if you do that. And be extremely embarrassed, but, I was about to be embarrassed anyway. While I was still amazed at Peridot's previous move, and still staring at her in awe. I wasn't paying attention and the nose of my board hit the standing support of a bench. I then flew forward onto said bench and ended up falling off it as well, letting out a yelp as my elbow slams into the pavement. I let out a whimper as I feel a few hot tears run down my face. Actual tears... I jump when I feel a hand on my left shoulders. I turn my head around to see the blonde skater. As soon as I see her I whip my head back around and look at the ground, I let out a disappointed sigh.

"Lapis... You alright?" The question hung in the air for a moment, as well as her genuine worry. I took a moment to stare at her, into her eyes. Her eyes were the glimmering color of emerald, sparkling in the light of the morning sun like a fresh sheen of morning dew. When she turned her head, this way and that, they caught the light and played tricks on me and everything that screamed 'spring.' And when she lifted her pale face to the sky, emerald shifted into the color of deep ocean shimmering in the early moonlight. It really did strike me right in my heart, I quickly turned my head away again.

"Y-Yeah... I'm fine..." I stood up and hold my elbow tight in embarrassment and pain, I notice the blonde give me a worried side glance. I tried not to look at her, or her eyes. However, That failed and I looked into her eyes. They asked me the same question she had asked moments ago, her eyes did. But her mouth didn't move. I let a small smile come to my lips. "I'm okay. That just... hurt." Peridot nodded, "I assumed so. That's a good thing about skating though, it builds your pain tolerance. Here, let me see your elbow."

I nodded, pulling my hand away from my elbow and shifting so I could pull off my hoodie. As I proceeded with the simple motion my elbow stung, it felt like a bee stinging you. So it wasn't a terrible pain, just unpleasant. I got the hoodie off and turned my body to Peridot, showing her the elbow. "It doesn't look serious. Just a scrape really, here let's get the the ice cream place and I'll put some bandages on it in there. Sound cool?"

I blush lightly and nod, I picked up the skateboard I was using and Peridot tied my hoodie around my waist. Also.... is it bad that I was practically having a heart attack by how close her hands were to my- well yeah.... you know...

Am I catching feelings for her to fast?
Is she even interested in me?
Or gay for that matter?
I can't let this happen to me again...

Jesus help me...
