And that's exactly what we did. We enjoyed every moments of married life together for the next 4 months. We rarely ever argued, we took a few little trips, we spent lots of time working and hanging out together. It was amazing. Everything was falling into place. When I woke up on a chilling day in January I rolled out of bed and left Grayson sleeping peacefully. I stood in the bathroom and looked down at the test laying on the counter. I hadn't told Grayson anything, but my period was a couple weeks late and I had a pretty good idea what was happening. But unlike the first time this happened I was happy. We hadn't officially decided to start trying for a baby, but it felt like the right time. I was so nervous and scared, but I just kept reminding myself to trust in god that everything would be okay. Our first baby is what brought us together. If we hadn't gone through that I don't know if we ever would have ended up together and married. Although I would give anything to have Devon here with us, I had to trust that it was God's plan. I looked down at the two pink lines on the test in front of me and smiled. I heard Grayson moving around in the bedroom, but I couldn't move. He opened the bathroom door and walked in sleepily. "Morning, babe." He said in his groggy deep voice. I didn't reply. I just looked from the test, back to him, and then to the test again. "What?" He asked as he rubbed his eyes and tried to wake himself up. "I'm pregnant." I whispered. His eyes snapped completely open and he looked to the test and then back to me. "Really?!" He said as a smile spread across his face. I handed him the test and waited for his reaction. "HOLY FUCK!" He yelled. He laid down the test and picked me up. He spun me around and cheered excitedly. "Should we go wake up Ethan?" I asked shyly when he put me down. "Let's go!" He yelled. We threw on clothes and ran through the house and into Ethan's room. We slammed to door open and I ran to Ethan's bed and started jumping on the bed beside him. Grayson jumped on the bed beside me and we both jumped up and down and started yelling. "ETHAN WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!" We yelled loudly. Ethan abruptly sat up and looked around. "What the fuck! Guys stop!" He yelled. We both jumped off the bed and stood beside him. "WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!" I yelled again. He laid back against his pillow and groaned. "I'm up!" He mumbled. "UNCLE ETHAN WAKE UP!" I yelled again. He opened his eyes slowly and looked from me to Grayson and then back to me. We were smiling like goofballs and couldn't stop. "Uncle?" He asked. I nodded as Grayson answered. "Yup she's pregnant!" Grayson yelled excitedly. Ethan jumped out of bed and hugged me and then tackled his brother. A few days later Grayson and I were sitting in the waiting room at the doctors office. "Fucking deja vu." I whispered under my breath. I was so nervous. Last time I was at a pregnancy doctors office they told me my baby was gone. I couldn't push the terrible memories from my head. "Dolan." The nurse called from the doorway. We stood and quickly followed the nurse down the hall. We walked into the exam room and I laid down on the table. The nurse took my vitals and then left the room. " I feel like I'm gonna throw up." I said to Grayson. He was sitting beside me and his leg was bouncing nervously. He reached over wordlessly and held my hand. The doctor came in the room and shook both of our hands. "This is your first baby?" He asked as he looked over the file. "Second pregnancy. We had a miscarriage before." I explained. The doctor smiled reassuringly. "Well let's check everything out!" He explained. I laid back again and the doctor lifted my shirt slightly to expose my stomach. He put a small amount of cold jelly on my stomach and then moved the wand around my stomach. I held my breath and waited to hear something, anything, to let us know our baby was okay. Seconds later I heard the quick 'thud thud, thud thud, thud thud' that sounded like a horse galloping. Warmth and relief rushed over my body. "Heart is sounding strong!" The doctor announced. I looked back at Grayson with tears in my eyes. Our baby was okay. Everything was going to be okay.
