~Grayson POV~
I pulled into the driveway at the new house and parked the bronco by the door. Ethan pulled in beside me in the truck.

We both quickly got out of our cars and started unloading boxes and stacking them in the entryway. "Where's y/n?" Ethan asked as we carried another load of boxes into the house.

I looked down the empty driveway and shrugged. "She was right behind us. Call her." I said as I grabbed more boxes from the back of the truck.

I glanced down the driveway again looking for her car before carrying another box into the house. "No answer." Ethan informed as I came back outside.

I pulled myself up from the tailgate and sat down. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and called her. It rang a few times and then went straight to voicemail.

"Maybe she stopped to get something to eat." I said as I stared down at my phone. It had been about a half hour since we left the old house.

She should've been here by now. I had a bad feeling. I couldn't explain it, I just felt something deep in my stomach. I was wondering if I should mention it to Ethan when we heard the sirens.

I looked at Ethan and we both froze. "No, it can't be." Ethan mumbled as we listened to the sirens. Without a word we ran to the garage and jumped into Ethan's BMW.

He drove out of the driveway and raced down the long driveway. He pulled out onto the main road without stopping and sped down the road in the direction of the old house.

After barley a minute we seen the flashing lights ahead. A pile of wreckage was surrounded by police cars, fire trucks and ambulances.

Ethan pulled up closer behind the wreckage of a red pickup truck mangled around the rear passenger side of her Range Rover.

Ethan slammed on the brakes and before the car was even completely stopped, I jumped out. I sprinted towards her car, praying desperately for her to be okay.

As I got closer a police officer stepped in front of me, blocking me from getting any closer to the cars. "You can't go over there, son." He said sternly, but I couldn't comprehend what he was saying.

I moved to go around him, my eyes still glued on my wife's mangled car, but he moved again and raised his voice. I stared at him, still unsure of what he was saying and why he was in my way.

Ethan ran up behind me and grabbed me by my shoulders, stopping me in my tracks, but my attention was still on the car. I heard Ethan and the officer talking beside me, but their voices were garbled and nothing they were saying made sense.

"Gray, did you hear what he said?" Ethan asked me as he shook my shoulder and tried to bring my attention to him. I shook my head. "She's at the hospital. Go get in the car." He said as he pushed me towards the car.

I looked at him, turned to the cop and then turned back and ran back to Ethan's car. Everything was a blur. One moment I was getting back into the car and the next we were pulling up in front of the hospital.

We ran into the hospital and I stood in shock as Ethan took over and spoke with the woman behind the desk to find out where my wife was.

He got the information he needed and took off running down the hall. I followed him as he got into an empty elevator. When the doors closed, I looked at the ground.

"They're going to be okay bro." He reassured me. I looked at him as a tear came down my cheek. "E, I don't know what I'll do if anything happens to either of them." I confessed.

The fear was ripping at my chest. "Listen, she's up here on the maternity floor, not trauma or ICU or anything. She's going to be okay!" He said again.

I nodded, praying silently that he was right. When the elevator doors opened I took a deep breath before following Ethan to the reception desk.

Ethan spoke quickly to the people behind the desk. The nurse stood up and escorted us down the hall to a room at the end of the hall. She pushed open the door and I pushed past her and sprinted to my wife.

"Gray!" She exclaimed as I ran to her side. She gingerly pushed herself into a sitting position and then threw her arms around my neck.

I leaned over her, careful to watch for the wires and monitors that were running all over her body, and pulled her to my chest in a tight hug. She had a bandage wrapped around her forehead and her bottom lip was split and slightly swollen, but besides that she looked okay.

She was connected to an IV and had monitors on her chest, finger, and stomach. "Is she okay?" I asked as I laid my hand over her belly. She nodded and smiled.

"Yes, she's okay." She said quietly as she laid her hand on top of mine. I sighed and closed my eyes. Relief rushed through my body. Tears of happiness and relief pooled in my eyes.

My wife and daughter were okay.   Everything was going to be okay. I squeezed her hand gently before opening my eyes and looking at her again.

"What happened?" I asked her quietly. "I don't really know. I left the old house a few minutes after you guys... I was driving down the road and then all of a sudden there was a loud noise and everything went black. They said the guy ran a stop sigh and when he hit my car I hit my head on then window and was then knocked out. I didn't wake up until I was already in the ambulance." She explained as she shook her head trying to grasp what happened.

"I have a concussion and a pretty gross gash on my head, besides that we're okay." She said as she lifted her hand and touched the gauze wrapped around her head. I leaned over and kissed it gently.

She smiled warmly. Her bright blue eyes looking into mine and sending a feeling of relief, calmness, and love through my body.
