4. Lori Grimes

2 months later..................

It's been 2 months since I apparently shot Carl. Lori is about 4 months pregnant. Maggie & Glenn are together. Carol found out she was pregnant with Shane's baby. Sophia, Amy, & Beth are like best friends. Me & Carl are kinda a thing, we are like 10, but who cares we do love eachother. Rick & Daryl are really close now too, they actually trust eachother. & Dale & Hershel sit around & talk about politics.

"Kaiti??" Carl whispers into my ear.

"Carl!? Quit doing that, it tickles." We laugh & run outside to play tag. Sophie & the other two said that we are babies, playing baby games, but we honestly don't care.

**Time Skip.....**

Lori is now 9 months pregnant, Carol is like 5 or 6 I think, she's way bigger than Lori, so I don't know for sure. Today was gonna be a great day. Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Maggie, & Andrea went on a run. Hershel, Carl, & Dale went out to a field to start planting seed. Amy & Beth are feeding & running the two horses. Sophia is doing barn chores. & I'm babysitting Carol & Lori. Carol went to go fix her & Lori some lunch. Me & Lori are just sitting upstairs. Then it happened.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" A scream came from down stairs.

"Lori!! Stay here!!!" I say grabbing my gun.

"Kaiti.........." Lori starts. I run down stairs to find Carol on the ground with blood all down her pants & her stomach ripping open with a tiny little Walker coming out, tearing it's way through her.

"LORI!!!!!" I scream, I'm so scared. Lori comes running as fast as she can, down stairs.

"OH NO!! Carol.........." Lori starts to cry. I point my gun at the baby Walker & shoot it. Lori nods her head at me.

"Sorry I had too."

"I know, it wasn't alive anyway."

"Yeah, now I gotta get Carol." Lori grabs the gun & screams at me.

"SHE IS DEAD ALREADY!!"

"Lori the Walker tore her up & plus we turn no matter what!! We learned that from Shane's death!!!" Lori let's go & goes back upstairs crying loudly. I shoot Carol, then Lori screams.

"KAITI!? GET RICK!!!" I run upstairs & see that Lori's in labor.

"My mom was a nurse, she taught me these things."

"No!! Get Rick, get Hershel!!!"

"There ain't any time, Lori!!!!!" Lori nods & I help her take off her pants.

"No, no.....I had Carl by C-section.....I'll need another." I nod.

"Let's try this first....." I look down there.

"Your fully dilated.....wanna try & push!?" Lori nods & pushes.

"KAITI!?"

"Lori!! Stop!!!" The baby wasn't coming, but a bit of blood was. I knew I had to do it, but I'm 10 years old. Can I really give Lori surgery & her survive & her baby!?

"Lori, I gotta cut you open....." I grab a knife I sink it gently into her stomach & go over her scar. Lori passes out, but I get the baby girl out. She's fine, I clean her off & put a blanket around her, then I sit her in a little crib Rick was building for her. Then I rush to Lori & stitch her up. About 10 minutes later Lori wakes up, she's weak, but she's alive.

"YOU LITTLE BITCH!!"

"Lori!?"

"I HAD IT, YOU COULD OF KILLED ME!!!!!"

"I didn't kill you or your baby girl!!!!!"

"Don't touch me or her ever again!!!!!" Right then I heard someone come in the house & scream. I run down stairs to find Rick, Andrea, Maggie, Glenn, & Daryl.

"Rick.....she..the baby...turned!?" Rick nodded & so did the rest. They were all crying. Maggie & Glenn started to clean up the mess. Daryl & Andrea took Carol & the baby out to dig a grave for them. & Rick sat down on the couch, shaking his head.

"Rick??"

"I'm fine, are you Kaiti??"

"I wasn't. But Rick, I know I'm 10 & I probably didn't know what I was doing, but....."

"You shot Carol & her baby. I understand, you had to, to protect Lori."

"Yes I did, but I also did surgery on Lori, she went into labor."

"Wait what!?"

"She's alive & ok. & so is your baby girl." Rick just smiled & picked me up hugging me, & ran upstairs with me in this arms.

"Lori!! Oh Lori!!!" Rick laughs with tears & a ridiculous smile.

"Rick, she could of killed me!!!!!"

"Lori!! She saved you & our little girl!!!"

"Ok, & then she shot Carol."

"She was dead & would of turned."

"Ok."

"Lori.....I'm sorry.....lets think of names!?"

"I don't know, I had only boy names picked out.....Chandler, Charles, Chuck, haha." We all laugh.

"Kaiti, what's your middle name??" Rick asks me.

"My names Judith Kaiti."

"Oh?? I love that!!!" Rick looks at Lori.

"Lori what do you think!?" Lori nods & smiles. Then we hear the others come in. Carl runs upstairs. 

**Time Skip**

It's been about two years since Judith was born. Me & Carl are now 12, Sophia is 14, Amy & Beth are 16, & of course Judith is 2. Lori is doing good, she still hates me, but it's ok. Sophia has been depressed since Carol & her baby died. We named the baby Joe, it's a mutual name. Sophia is coming around now, Maggie & Glenn practically adopted her. Rick, Daryl, Andrea, & Dale all lead this group as a team now. Glenn & Daryl go on over night runs once every week. Hershel is teaching Me, Amy, & Beth medicine. & Dale, Carl, & Maggie do the farm work. Sophia helps a little with the farm work, but she's been cooking a lot recently. We haven't lost anyone or seen much of any Walkers since that day with Carol & little innocent Joe. Until.

"MOM!! DAD!! KAITI!! JUDITH!! DARYL!! EVERYONE!!" Carl came in the house screaming. Rick ran to him & so did I.

"Carl!? Son, what's wrong!!?"

"DAD!! WALKERS!!!" We looked outside to see a herd of walkers coming our way. We all packed as fast & as much as we could & ran to the cars. Few walkers had already gotten to the farm. Me, Carl, Rick, & Judith got in one car. I saw Daryl grab Sophia & Hershel, they all got on his bike. & I saw Andrea with Maggie & Glenn. I didn't see Lori, Dale, Amy, or Beth anywhere though.
