"GARNET!" The Gems minus Lapis cried.
Lapis was so horrified after realizing what she'd done. She felt like she caused all this. She was the reason Peridot and Jasper were here again, but she didn't know why they'd want her. She should've just stayed in that mirror. She'd still be prisoner to something, but that would've been better for her friends than the trouble she's caused now anyway.

Lapis summoned her water wings and flew above the Gems. She landed on the wet beach sand, face to face with Jasper and Peridot. She looked up at the rain clouds above and sighed.

"How are you even here? How did you even get back to Homeworld?" Lapis snapped, frustrated. Before she started any more fights, she really just needed some answers. Meanwhile the other Gems attempted to help Steven climb off the porch to fight Peridot and Jasper.

"For your information, after I crashed on Earth in my escape pod, I gathered the flask robonoids I store in there and started traveling on foot. After traveling a few hundred miles I found some random warp pad!" Peridot exclaimed, remembering how proud of herself she was that day.

"From there I warped to the Galaxy Warp and used my robonoids to fix the warp pads. I coincidentally found Jasper swimming around in the ocean," Peridot shrugged. "But we warped back to Homeworld!" Peridot finished. She was very proud of herself, and she had carefully prepared that speech for anyone who asked her how she managed to get back to Homeworld.

Jasper rolled her eyes at Peridot. She quickly darted towards Lapis and grabbed a hold of her arm.

"Wait a minute! Stop!" Lapis cried. Pearl and Amethyst rushed to defend Lapis, and Steven was still stuck up on the porch since he was honestly scared to get down and face Jasper.
Jasper released her grip a bit, but still held Lapis' arm tight enough so she couldn't escape. Jasper fell to her knees.

"Do you want to know why I came back for you?!" Jasper shouted with an ashamed expression.

"Yes! Please tell me!" Lapis yelled. She  just wanted to get whatever she needed to hear and do over with.

"All I need you for is- I mean, I-" Jasper mumbled. She was embarrassed to tell Lapis the truth, but she finally brought herself to the point.
"I need Malachite okay?!" Jasper cried.

"What?!" Lapis gasped. "Why would you want Malachite?! I was so bad to you. Why would you want that again?!"

"Because Malachite is so much stronger than both of us! She was so big, and so powerful, and- and we could fly!" Jasper continued to confess her need for Malachite. Lapis listened in shock.

"That power was like nothing I've ever felt! And I know you felt it too~ Isn't it so great to feel so strong? Like you can break out of any chains?!" Jasper attempted to persuade Lapis into giving in.

"I did feel that power. It was...incredible." Lapis whispered and Jasper did her signature evil smile.

Lapis remembered that feeling of strength. But she also remembered that feeling of being stuck and exhausted. That feeling was way too familiar for Lapis.
"You know what, no. I'm not doing this again. I'm not making another mistake." Lapis said, struggling to remove Jasper's hand from her arm.

"But," Jasper smiled once more, moving her eyes to Lapis' eyes. "You already made the mistake of saying no to me." Jasper yanked Lapis' arm and turned around, flinging her away with her.

"Finally! Let's go." Peridot exclaimed, starting the ship back up.

Pearl and Amethyst ran towards the ship as it started up and swung their weapons. But Jasper used Lapis as a shield, causing the angry Crystal Gems to injure poor Lazuli.

Lapis' cries for help were muffled by Jasper's hand as the ship lifted into the air and out of this world.
Tears filled Steven's eyes.

"Lapis."
