Chapter 4

(Alex POV)

I quickly jumped out of Zack's bed. I heard the whole thing. I walked into the bathroom and closed and locked the door. I slid down to the floor. She chose him, not me. I was devastated. I for sure thought she would pick me. She said our kiss was amazing. I sighed and stared at the bathroom floor. I really liked Val and she chose Jack. I'm happy for him of course because we are like brothers. He finally got the girl. 

(Val POV) 

"We can't tell Alex just yet." I say. "Why?" Jack frowned. "I don't want to hurt him. So can we keep this on the down low?" I ask. He nodded. "Alright." I smiled then kissed Jack. Kissing him was almost as great as it was when I kissed Alex. My stomach growled and I laughed. "Guess I better get something to eat. You hungry?" I asked. "Of course!" he said then laughed. "Alright I'll make us some sandwiches." I climbed out of Jack's bunk. "Anyone want a sandwich?" I ask. "Hell yeah!" Zack shouted. "Sure!" Rian said smiling with his super white teeth. "Flyzik? Vinny?" I asked. They both shook their head. "Where's Alex?" he wasn't with the guys. "I seen him go into the bathroom." Zack said. Rian nodded. "Yeah he's been in there for a while now." Oh no. Is he okay?

I walked over to the bathroom and knocked on the door. "Alex?" I say. "I'm fine." he said quietly. "Do you want a sandwich?" I ask. "No." he said sharply. Wow. Fine. I walked into the kitchen and made our sandwiches. "Jack. Your sandwich is done!" I shouted. He hopped out of his bunk and grabbed his sandwich and snuck a kiss on my cheek. I smiled. "Rian, Zack! Sandwiches are done." I shouted. They quickly grabbed their sandwiches and sat back down. "Thanks." they both mumbled. I finished making my sandwich and put the stuff I used away. 

I walked over to the couch and sat next to Jack. Not to close, I didn't want the guys raising suspicions. "Guys I'm worried about Alex. He's still in the bathroom." I say. They all shrug. "He's probably jacking off." Jack said. I took a bite of my sandwich. They are probably right. I shrug and finish my sandwich.

After a few weeks of Warped Tour the guys finally got a day off. I still haven't told Alex about me and Jack. He's been acting weird tho. Jack told me he wanted to take me on official date. I got dressed in a pair of my nicest jean shorts and a sparkly black top. I go into the bathroom so I can straighten my hair and put on some make up. As I am leaving the bathroom Alex walks by. "You look nice." he mumbles to me and continues walking. I sigh. Why is he acting so weird? I put away my straightener and make up bag then go outside. 

Jack's standing outside with a rose in his hands. I smiled. "Awe Jack." he handed me the rose. "It's beautiful." I said. "I figured one rose is easier to hide than a dozen." he took my hand and we started walking. "When are we going to Alex?" he asked. I sighed. "Soon I promise." He nodded. 

We arrived at the restaurant. "Reservations for Barakat." Jack said and the hostess led us to our seats. There was no one in the restaurant. Jack pulled out my chair and I sat down. "Thank you."  He smiled and sat across from me. I smiled at him. The hostess handed us menus then walked away. "Where is everybody?" I asked. He grinned at me. "I paid them to close the restaurant so it would be just us." 

"Awe Jack. That's so sweet!" Jack was a great guy. "I'd do anything for you." he said smiling. "Order what ever you want." I picked up then menu. The girl came back. "Do you guys know what you want?" she asked. I looked up at her. "I'll have the chicken salad." I handed her my menu. "Alright. And you?" she turned to Jack. "I'll have the steak." he grinned and handed her his menu. "Alright." she said then walked away. Jack was staring at me, grinning like a fool. "What?" I asked. "You look beautiful." he said. I blushed. I wasn't used to being called beautiful.
