Chapter 8

(Val POV)

Oh my gosh. I quickly pulled away from Alex. He was grinning like a fool. "Did you feel any sparks?" he asked. "Of course I felt sparks! We're fucking attracted to each other! Oh my gosh I'm so fucking stupid." I couldnt believe I just kissed Alex. I cheated on Jack, with his best friend. "Do not tell a fucking soul about this." I said and he nodded. "I won't Val." he got up and left. I walked upstairs and sat in my bed crying. I felt terrible. I had kissed another guy when I was dating and having Jacks baby. I'm a terrible person. I cried myself to sleep that night.

I woke up the next morning with a head ache. I groaned as I walked downstairs to get some Motrin. I took some Motrin then rummaged through the cupboards to find something to eat. Mason came down the stairs. It was his day off. He didn't get a lot of days off so I was glad to see him. I smiled at him. "morning." I said. He smiled back at me. "Good morning." he said. He cooked us some eggs and bacon. "So when are you and Jack moving in together?" he asked. I shrugged. "We haven't even started looking but I want to get a house before the baby comes." he nodded. "Good idea." After breakfast I did the dishes then went upstairs to get changed. I got dressed in a black Jagk shirt and gray skinny jeans. Soon I wouldn't be able to fit in these. I sighed. I wasn't looking forward to getting bigger. My phone vibrated. Jack was calling me. "Hey babe. Wanna come over?" he asked. I didn't really want to see Alex after what happened yesterday but I did want to see Jack. I felt really guilty. "Of course." I said smiling. "Kay be there in a few." I finished getting ready and walked downstairs. "I'm going over to Jacks." I told mason and he just nodded. A few minutes later Jack pulled up. "Hey babe." he said as I got in the car and then kissed me. I smiled. "Hey." I said then he started driving back to his house. "Do you need anything?" he asked. I shook my head. " I'm good."

When we arrived at his house I climbed out of the car and we went inside. Alex was sitting on the couch drinking a beer. He looked up at me and smiled. "Hey Val." I forced a smile. "Hey Alex." I said. I sat down on the couch and Jack went into the kitchen to grab a beer. He sat down next to me and put his arm around me. Soon Rian, Zack, and Flyzik joined us. They were all watching the football game. I sat there awkwardly. I didn't really like football but I tolerated it. I heard a phone go off and check my phone but it wasn't mine.

(Alex POV)

My phone was going off. I got up and walked into the kitchen. "Hello?" I asked. "Hello. Is this Alex Gaskarth?" the person on the other end said. "Yes." I said slowly. "How would you like to sing the national anthem at the next football game?" they asked. Oh my gosh were they serious? "Hell yeah!" I said ginning. I was stoked. "Great. If you want you can have a band mate sing with you." they said. I had the perfect person in mind. "Alright." I was super excited. "We will send you five tickets tomorrow." they said then we said goodbye. I walked out to the living room. "Guess what guys." I said grinning. "Huh?" Jack asked. It was commercial so they were all looking at me except for Val. "I just got asked to sing the national anthem at the next football game!" I shouted. "Hell yeah!" Jack shouted. "And they are going to let me pick one other person to sing with me." I knew they weren't going to be happy with my desion but I didn't really care. "Who are you picking?" Zack asked. "Val." I said grinning.

(Val POV)

I heard Alex say my name so I looked up at him. Wait. He just said he chose me to sing with him? In front of all those people? On tv? Hell no! I laughed nervously. "I can't. How about Zack?" I suggested. Alex shook his head. "I want you to sing with me. Come on. You know we kill it." he grinned. I had to admit we did sound great together. But I couldn't sing in front of all those people. "I can't. Not in front of all those people. I'd pass out." Jack looked at me. "Val you'll be fine. You guys are amazing! You're gonna kill it!" he said. I bit my lip then sighed. "Alright fine." I gave in. I had to admit it would be fun to sing the national anthem with Alex. "don't worry guys. You're coming to the game!" he shouted. "Except Fyzik. Sorry bud." he chuckled and Flyzik shrugged. I was glad the guys were coming. I didn't want to be alone with Alex for that long.
