Hello guys! So I went back to school today. -.- What's the point of making us go to school for TWO days, anyway? Anywho, when I got home though, I found a package waiting for me from Noemi (NoemiCastronovo_) so that pretty much made my whole day! It was my 6 month late Birthday present and Christmas present! Haha. I love her. :3 Anywhozers, here is chapter 7 of  My Echo!

--

Rachel sat comfortably at the dinner table as she slowly ate her pasta and listened in on the conversations. Wanda and Sasha were talking about wines, and John and Mikey were talking about football. Rachel had no place at this table, she could feel it, but she wasn't going to be rude and excuse herself, after all this dinner was for them to get to know her, though no one was paying one bit of attention to her. She moved her fork around in the noodles slowly as she looked down.

Mikey was in a heated conversation with John about football, but his eyes kept trailing over to Rachel. She had no idea he was watching her, and he could tell she felt left out.

"Hey Rachel," asked Mikey once the opportunity for him to get out of this conversation with John arose, "What did you do back in... California? That's where you lived right?"

Rachel's head snapped up from her plate and she slowly nodded her head, "Yeah, that's where I lived. I didn't... I didn't do anything. Wasn't allowed," she spoke, her voice refused to go any louder than it was, and it was barely a whisper already.

"Oh," Mikey nodded his head, sensing Rachel was getting uncomfortable again.

"OKAY!" Spoke up Sasha, breaking up the silent tension that had fallen over the kitchen, "Let's clean up and go bowling!" She smiled, and they began to clean the kitchen.

-

Rachel slowly walked inside the bowling alley and they went to a private lane.

"Don't we have to change shoes?" She whispered to Sasha who just smiled and shook her head.

"This is Mikey's lane. They don't care if him or his guests wear bowling shoes or not. We choose not to," She smiled, wrapping her arm around Rachel's shoulder, causing her to flinch slightly, but not enough for Sasha to notice. Rachel took a seat on one of the couches set up in the lane and Mikey started entering names into the score board.

"Can I be last?" Rachel spoke up, her voice going up a tiny bit louder than usual. Mikey turned his head slightly and smiled as he nodded; entering her in last and she took a deep breath.

John was up first, and Mikey smacked his butt to be funny and John wiggled it, causing Rachel to crack a smile for the first time that night. He did a few other crazy moves before throwing the ball and hitting a perfect strike. Everyone clapped, and he stuck his tongue out at Sasha as she slowly stepped up.

Sasha's small body struggled to pick up the ball as she laughed a little too hard, and winked at Wanda before bending over and throwing it granny style.

"OH COME ON!" John laughed, as Mikey bent over, laughing hysterically as the bowling ball slowly rolled down and into the gutter. Sasha stomped her foot and pouted slightly, causing  Rachel to smile once more.

Next up was Wanda, who put on a serious face and threw the ball right away, and just like John hit a perfect strike.

"Beat that," she barked in her son's face, trying not to laugh.

Mikey stood up from the couch and adjusted his already sagging pants and grabbed the bowling ball that was next. He turned around and winked at Rachel before turning towards the alley, and just like John and Wanda, he threw a perfect strike.

"Next up, Rachel!" Called Mikey and Rachel's stomach felt like it was on a roller coaster. She swallowed hard before slowly standing up and walking to the lane.

"I... I really don't know how to bowl," She stuttered, picking up the heavy ball.

"I'll help you," Mikey said, getting up from his seat, and before Rachel could protest, his arms were around her and his hand was over hers on the bowling ball.

Rachel froze, and fear coursed through her veins faster than lighting. Tears formed in the back of her eyes, and the ball that was in her hand fell to the ground.

Tears fell down the plumps of her cheeks as flashbacks made there way through her brain, She unwrapped herself from Mikey's grasp and she ran out of the lane and into the darkness of the building. Her heart was racing as she exited the bowling alley and she collapsed onto the ground, gagging as if she was going to throw up. She began to shake as she sat there on the cold gross, an anxiety attack over taking her fragile body. Sasha and John ran out of the alley, and Mikey and his mom stayed at the doorway.

"Rachel?" Sasha said, but her voice sounded distant. John wrapped his arms around Rachel and they quickly carried her to the car. Rachel was too out of it to notice his arms around her, and as soon as they sat her in the car, she blacked out.
