I AM REALLY QUITE BITTER ABOUT THE FACT THAT I AM NOT AT THE ONE DIRECTION CONCERT THAT IS GOING ON CURRENTLY 30 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOUSE. And like half of my friends are there, and half of those friends just went because they thought it would be fun. No fuck you give me a fan since the X-Factor tickets UGH. Anyway. Done ranting about One Direction lol. So I will not be posting another chapter of My Echo tomorrow. This chapter is what led up to the gun shot, so no one is confused! But you will find out who gets shot in this chapter, don't worry!

"My whole life, you neglected me," Rachel spoke calmly as she watched her mother's every reaction. Her mother's eyes were glued on the gun, flinching at any slight movement Rachel would make, "I mean really, what makes you think you should be able to live free? Finally rid of me, and now you get to party it up? I don't think so," Rachel shook her small head, a few strands of hair falling in her face as she performed the simple action.
"Rachel," her mother's fear stricken voice spoke, flashing her eyes up to meet Rachel's, "Don't do this," her voice stuttered as Rachel narrowed her eyes, "We'll both be free. You'll be free from me, and I'll be free from you," she forced out a smile and Rachel rolled her deep brown orbs.
"You're an idiot, Amanda," Rachel scoffed, smoothing out her pants as she stood up and started walking around the room, waving the gun around aimlessly as her eyes scanned the house, "You know, I always hated coming home from school," Rachel stated, nodding her head as her eyes fell upon a picture of her in Kindergarten, "Well, once I was old enough to know what was happening, at least. I mean, almost all of the guys you brought home thought I was a cute little punching bag, but one thought I was a cute little fucking bag," her voice didn't break, it just stayed calm as a coldness washed over her eyes, "And then after that it was like I tried to find anything I could do to get out of coming home. And some nights, I would get lucky and come home and there would no man! But wait, I was still stuck with you. And sometimes, you were worse than the men, because sometimes the men just ignored me, which meant they were keeping you busy. But when there wasn't one, you blamed me, and you beat me, and you screamed things that I should have never heard come out of my mother's mouth," her voice was full of rage as she recalled memories, tears of anger and despise flowing down her rosy cheeks.

Rachel's small, 13 year old self slowly entered the house that filled her with disgust, trying to be as quiet as she could. She looked around the living room, and let out a sigh of relief as she saw no coat hanging around that belonged to a man. She walked quietly into kitchen, slowly opening the fridge and looking for food.
"What are you doing?" Rang a woman's voice from behind Rachel's slender body; she took a sharp breath before turning around slowly.
"I was getting food," her voice came out soft and adorable as she looked down at her feet.
"Food? You don't need food," Amanda snapped, walking over to Rachel and tilting her chin up, "You need to work out a bit. You're fat, Rachel," tears pricked at Rachel's eyes and she slowly nodded as Amanda pinched at her skin, "I mean look at all this fat," she pinched harder, and Rachel winced slightly, "Go make yourself throw up or something. And then work out, and only drink water."
"But I haven't eaten all day," a small tear slid down Rachel's cheek and Amanda sent her a glare.
"Good," her voice was harsh as she quickly walked away, "And by the way, do something about your face. I can't stand to look at it any longer, it's making me sick," Amanda's words rang through the air as she quickly exited the kitchen, her footsteps echoing through the hall.

Rachel was snapped out of her thoughts suddenly as Amanda ran for her, her fingers wrapping around the gun in Rachel's hand as she tried to pull it away from her.
"LET GO AMANDA," Rachel screeched, but Amanda gripped the gun harder and pointed it right at Rachel's heart, Rachel's eyes widened as she tried to move the gun, but Amanda had full control over it now.
"I've always wanted to do this," Amanda smirked as Rachel let out an ear piercing cry just as Amanda pulled the trigger. Just as Rachel hit the ground, she saw the front door flying opening as she felt a hot liquid slowly seeping down her shirt and her arm. Her eyes slowly dropped shut as she heard a cry coming from a male's voice.
