"I'm too late," cried Mikey as his body collapsed down next to Rachel's, pulling her against his chest, "Come on baby," he mumbled, stroking his fingers through her hair as he looked down at her face, "Please Rachel... Please..." He pressed his lips to her forehead, shaking slightly as he began to cry harder.

"Amanda, what the hell have you done?" Cried Deborah as she stared at her daughter; Amanda was staring down at the scene before her; the gun had fallen to the floor next to Rachel's now lifeless body. Deborah yanked out her cell phone and quickly called 911.

"She deserved it," Amanda said, her voice blank of any emotion as she watched Mikey cradling Rachel in his arms tightly.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE DESERVED IT?!" Mikey snapped, tearing his eyes away from Rachel's face as he held her tighter, her blood smearing all over his clothes and hands, "YOU'RE THE BITCH WHO MADE HER FEEL WORTHLESS ALL THOSE YEARS. YOU SHOULD BE THE ONE DEAD. NOT HER," he raged, the tears flowing faster now as he silently began to sob, "Please babygirl," he whimpered, moving his forehead against hers, "You can't leave me now, I need you. I need you in my life, forever. I can't live without you; you can't expect me to live without you now. I need you I need you I need you," he slowly let go of Rachel and rested her body down on the floor as he pulled himself to his feet and stood in front of Amanda, "How could you do this to someone so innocent? How dare you, after all you put her through? I hope you rot in hell," he seethed and Amanda stepped back at his anger.

"You cannot talk to me like that, young man, or you might end up like that worthless piece of shit," she snapped, pointing at Rachel. Mikey's cheeks burned a deep red as his jaw clenched, his fists tightening.

"Don't you dare," he fumed, holding himself back, "Talk about her like that. And go ahead, shoot me. You're already going to jail for this, watch what happens when you shoot Mikey Fusco," he shot back at her, his voice echoing through the small room around them. He looked down and found Deborah applying pressure to the wound, trying to stop the bleeding as the sound of sirens filled his ears.

Everything that happened next was like slow motion in Mikey's eyes. As the paramedics flew into the living room, and the cops took Amanda. Through all the questioning Mikey stared blankly down the long road that the ambulance had sped away with Rachel's dying body in it. They said she still had a heartbeat as they loaded her, but he also heard one of them say it'd be a miracle if she lived.

Mikey sat in the white hallway. His eyes glued on the wall in front of him as Deborah and him sat in silence. He could hear the sound of on long, continuous beep, and his heart stopped. He knew what it was, what that flat line meant, but he refused to believe it. A moment later he heard a steady beep, signaling she was alive again and he let out the breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding.

"Did you call the people she's been staying with?" Asked Deborah after a moment, trying to break the eerie silence that had fallen between the two. Mikey slowly nodded. Calling Sasha and John had been the second hardest thing about this. The sound of Sasha's desperate voice wailing for her husband as he heard the loud sound of the phone hitting the floor, and John's loud footsteps thudding into the kitchen to catch his wife as she slowly sank to the floor was enough to cause Mikey to break again. He had sent his private jet to pick the two up, but he didn't know if they would make it on time. He was going to lose Rachel. The girl he had fallen so madly in love with in such a short time, was dying in the room right next to him and there was nothing he could have done. He had been warned, but he didn't take it seriously, and now he was paying for it. He had been too late. The hot liquid burned down Mikey's smooth cheeks as he held in the sobs that threatened to escape his closing throat. He couldn't lose her. He wasn't ready. He didn't think he could even breathe without her anymore; she had become his everything. Her beautiful soft face, the way her hazel colored hair slightly blew in the wind when they walked, sending a sweet aroma of her shampoo and signature perfume around the two. He cried harder as he realized he might never smell those scents again, or feel her lips on his in a sweet embrace, or her small hand in his. Rachel was dead.
