Changing a Heart

New Girl

"Hey you must be Lucy" a small bluenette approached me holding her hand out. I gladly took it and flashed her a smile. 

"Thats me" 

"I'm Levy and I get to show you around the school" the girl wiggled her perfectly plucked eyebrows at me. 

"Sounds good to me" 

Fairytail High. I had heard so many mixed reviews on the school. Some said it was life changing, others thought the school encouraged some not so legal things. Either way I was excited.

"Up hear is our front office" The girl showed me the office which I had become familiar with over the holidays. I met the principle and he seemed sweet but his height had me questioning if he was a dwarf or not. It's not everyday you meet someone of that height.

This new school offered me a fresh start, which I definitely needed. Nothing was wrong at my past school, it was more family issues that drove me to this new town. My aunty was kind enough to let me stay with her and my cousins. Of course my brother came too and although he was a pain I was glad he was there. 

"Now this is our science lab" I followed the girl into the labs which smelt of chemicals, I regretted my decision to enter imminently. Worrying for my health I held my breath as long as possible. 

Of course I would miss my friends but I needed to make some new ones. Levy seemed friendly but her size had me wondering about her age. Either way I knew I was sticking with her for now until I found a group that I belonged in. 

"And my favorite part, the library" Levy cheered as she opened two wooden doors which loomed over me. They opened to reveal the most beautiful library ever. My eyes couldn't believe the possible adventures I could go on with all these novels. 

Levy turned to analyze my facial expression. 

"So you like books too?" She asked with a knowing smile.

"How could I not" I returned her smile. 

"Something gives me a feeling we are going to get along" Levy excitingly sung. I couldn't of agreed more. 

We spent the rest of the tour mostly talking about different books we had read. I discovered that Levy was a sucker for romance novels but she had the patience to read mystery books as well. I didn't want the tour to end, I feared who I would sit with at lunch. Of course I had Levy but I had no idea what her friends would be like. 

"Well our tour ends here, at your locker" Levy concluded once we arrived to a vast hallway. 

"Well thanks for taking me" I smiled at the girl.

"You should sit with me a lunch" She offered. Relief washed through my body, I was thankful that I had somewhere to sit.

"Yes, I wouldn't know where else to go" I let out a laugh which she gladly returned.

"Just come find me under that tree under there" Levy pointed to a beautiful pink tree. My eyes made a mental note of the spot and I gave the bluenette a nod. 

I watched as the short girl walked away before I opened my locker. Stuffing my bag inside I grabbed the apple that was in it. 

A few minutes passed before it was time to see who I was possibly spending the rest of my school years with. Taking a deep breath I took a glance at the group sitting underneath the tree. Sure enough Levy was there with a masculine boy's arm wrapped around her. His piercings shone in he sun, he was intimidating to look at but something gave me a feeling that he had a good heart. Next to him a red head was standing, glasses framed her beautiful eyes and she held a fist up to a raven haired boy. He looked fearful of the girl, he was quite attractive. He wore his tie loosely around his neck and at his foot a soccer ball sat. Another bluenette sat with them eating her blueberries. She had longer hair and a pale clear face. She looked at the raven haired boy longingly, desperation clear in her glossy eyes. 

After analyzing the group I decided it was then or never so I headed over as Levy waved to me. 

"Guys this is Lucy, she's new here" Levy introduced me and everyone greeted me. All I could muster out was a smile and "hi" before a cold liquid poured down my head and a heavy weight pushed me to the floor. 

Upon making contact with the floor my head buzzed and I let out a wheeze of pain. Laying next to me I found the cause of this pain. A boy laid grasping his head in pain with water all over him too. My eyes averted to the bottle on the ground which had water oozing out of it. 

"Oh my God, I am so sorry" The boy finally acknowledged my presence. His deep onyx eyes showed his genuine guilt as he picked up his water bottle. It took my brain a while to process what happened. The boy bumped into me spilling his water over the both of us. It wasn't what I wanted to happen on my first day.

"Great way to scare the new girl Natsu" The raven haired boy rolled his eyes. 

"Shit" The boy cursed under his breathe. I finally got a good look at him, he had tan skin and bright pink hair. It looked so fluffy and I wanted so badly to run my fingers through it. However I resisted the urge and stood up. 

"Its alright" I spoke weakly realizing the liquid that now decorated my uniform. 

"No its not Natsu" The red head hit the boy in the head. 

"Yeah I know, Erza" he sighed. 

"Let me help you get cleaned up" He offered. 

"I think you should clean yourself up first" I pointed to his drenched clothing. He looked down examining the mess he made. His shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm used to it, lets get you a new uniform" He examined my attire.

"Its ok, I can do it myself" I rejected his offer, after the accident I wasn't sure about how clumsy the boy could get so it was better to clean myself up. Stepping over the bottle I rushed to the office unaware of the pinkette eyeing me off from a distance.
