"This place is perfect" I stated my opinion about the venue. It was big, not too expensive and had a disco ball. I knew Gray liked to get his boogie on.
"I'm not sure where would we put all the food" Natsu noticed the lack of tables.
"I'm sure we can purchase our own tables and bring them in" I suggested remembering the folding tables I saw at Target.
"Ok well I guess we have made our decision" The pinkette boy looked at me with a smile. It was such a relief to be finally done. We spent hours looking for the perfect venue.
"Do you want something to eat or drink" I asked checking the time. It was 7 which meant my aunt would be nearly finished dinner.
"Scratch that, just stay for dinner, its the least I can do after you have been so patient with me" I offered.
"Well you were pretty difficult so I'll take the free food" He flashed me a mischievous grin. I just gave him a playful punch in return.
Dinner surprisingly wasn't awkward, my cousin behaved and my Aunty didn't ask any embarrassing questions. We all just talked about random things including what Sting was studying at University.
"It's going to be the best, lawyers get paid good money I tell you" Sting spoke not realizing how stupid he sounded. Sure law was great pay but also hard work and I wondered if he was cut out for it.
"My dads a lawyer" Natsu spoke.
"Really maybe he could give me some advice" Sting suggested.
"Definitely it would be nice for him to lecture someone else on becoming an lawyer" Natsu rolled his eyes thinking about his father. I could tell it was touchy subject and I intended to get to the bottom of it later.
After dinner Natsu grabbed his coat and readied himself to leave until my Aunty interrupted us.
"Lucy dear, I have an emergency at work, after your friend leaves would you mind cleaning the dishes" She bit her lip.
"Of course Aunty" I smiled.
"I'll stay and help" Natsu placed his arm around my shoulder and smiled.
"You don't have to dear" My aunty brushed his offer off not wanting to worry him.
"It's alright I'm happy to help" He assured her that he was staying. I was grateful that he was helping but also confused at why. Most likely to be polite. After my Aunt left we headed to the kitchen to clean. I filled the sink up with hot soapy water and handing the pinkette a tea towel.
"Just dry them and place them on the bench, Ill put them away" I ordered acknowledging the fact that he didn't know where anything went.
Placing my hands in the skin I felt the water burn my skin. I immediately retreated clutching my hand.
"You alright" The pinkette inspected my hand and I knew exactly what to do. I dipped my other hand in the soapy water and flung the soap into his face. He stumbled back shocked and he looked like a snowman. I couldn't help but burst out in laughter, it was so funny it hurt. I clutched the bench top blurting my laughs out. I was so busy laughing I didn't see Natsu grab some soap and place it in my hair.
"AHHHH" I screamed rubbing it out.
"Your on" I accepted the pinkettes challenge. No one beats me in a soap fight.
We both reached for the sink at the same time but he reached it first. Soap flung into my face. I blew it out and grabbed the swollen sponge. Reaching over his head I squeezed the contents of the soap out of him.
"Thats not fair" He laughed before soaking the tea towel with soap.
We continued for a while drowning each other in soap and water. It was nice to just have a laugh with him and for a moment I forgot about anything in the world. It was just me and him enjoying ourselves. Finally we had a formed a friendship but I wasn't sure if I wanted it to be more then that.
