Chapter 3

the bell rung showed that the school hours already started. jeno locked his locker after he took his books then made his way to his language class. on the way to his class, he met bora who looked like a lost lamb.

"hey there. you need help or something?" jeno greeted and smiled at the girl. bora greeted back and smiled awkwardly.

"kind of... i need to go to this class." she said and showed jeno the name of class she's supposed to go.

"oh cool! we're classmates! follow me, i'll show you the way." jeno said and they walked together to their class.

"so, where are you from?" jeno asked, trying to make a conversation between him and bora. "me? i'm from paju." she answered.

"ah, i see. so far how do you think about this school?" jeno asked again. bora sighed before she answered. "yesterday i just roamed around the school. the school is big and beautiful but i don't like being here. no one wants to talk to me.... except for you." bora said as she looked at jeno's sparkling eyes. the girl stares made jeno blushed a bit.

"can we be friends? can i be with you?" the girl leaned in and whispered to jeno's ear, sending chills over his spines. jeno awkwardly laughed and smiled at her.

"sure. then you should be friends with my gang too." he exclaimed.

they soon arrived at their class before the teacher does. jeno walked to his seat which is besides jaemin and bora followed him from behind. "good morning jeno! oh and bora too." jaemin greeted with a lovely smile on his face.

"erm, you should sit at your place." jeno said as he tapped the table behind him. "here is your place since it was the only empty seat in this class." jeno said. bora nodded as she walked to her place and sat there silently. her eyes never left jeno who sat in front of her.

during lunch break jeno and jaemin brought bora to the cafeteria and sat at the table they usually sat. renjun and donghyuck already sat at the table, eating their lunches.

"yo guys, a friend wants to join us." jaemin said as bora stepped towards the boys and greeted them.

"wow, we never had a girl joined us before." donghyuck said and earned a smack from renjun. renjun nagged at him for being rude towards bora. but the girl only kept her straight face.

"me and jaemin wanna buy some food. let's go together shall we?" jeno invited bora but the girl rejected his offer. "thank you but i'm not eating." she answered.

"are you on a diet or something? we have like 3 hours more till school hours ends." jaemin asked but bora ignored him. she only stared at jaemin thus making him gulped and dragged jeno to the food section.

jeno gave jaemin a confuse look but jaemin only said that he was hungry as hell. meanwhile, bora sat at the table and all she does was watching renjun and donghyuck eating. both of them were aware that bora was staring however none of them said anything.

jeno and jaemin soon returned to their table. each of them held a tray with a drink and a burger. jeno took the seat besides bora and had a sip of his drink.

"aah, i love this drink. you want some? you must be thirsty." jeno offered bora the drink but she rejected him. again.

"i don't need drinks or food. i know how to take care of myself. you should not worry about me." she said. the boys exchanged looks and it became really really awkward between all of them.

the boys finished eating and they still had about 1 hour more till lunch break ends. so, they decided to walk around the garden. however, bora stopped at the very end of the building, where she was completely safe from the sunlight. jaemin realised that bora didn't follow them and turned back to her.

"hey, what's wrong? don't you want to join us?" he asked. bora didn't answered him. she was staring at the sunlight. soon, others also turned back and asked bora the same thing.

"i.... i just remembered that i need to do something. you guys go ahead." she said. bora turned her heels and walked away from the boys. they didn't suspect anything except for jeno. he was curious about bora since day 1.
