Chapter 2

"something was a little off about her." jeno said as he sat on the couch. jaemin joined him on the couch while donghyuck and renjun monopolised the floor. the boys were hanging at jaemin's room to play ps4. tch, boys nowadays.

"what's that little off about?" renjun asked, his fingers were tapping furiously on the controller.

"she looks pale and unenergised." jeno exclaimed but only to be rejected by jaemin "she's not pale to me. plus she's just being extremely polite which you cannot see in any other girls in this town not unenergised."

"i'm with jaemin. even if she's pale maybe because she was sick or something." donghyuck said before he cheered cause his character managed to k.o renjun's. meanwhile, jeno felt into a deep thought.

"she's.... staring at my blood." he thought to himself.

"jeno baby, can you help me buy something at the store?" jeno's mom yelled from the kitchen. being an obedient child he is, he quickly answered his mother. "sure but i'm not a baby anymore. i'm already 18 years old." he said sulking a bit.

jeno's mom smiled and blew a kiss for her son. "you are my baby. my one and only baby boy no matter how much you've grown up." she said and passed him her purse and a list.

"be right back before 9 okay?" his mom said.

jeno nodded and grabbed his jacket at the rack and put on his shoes. he walked to the store he usually went because that store had all the things his mom needed. as he reached the store, he pulled out the list and began searching for all of the ingredients.

"what do you mean by that?! we had no such place in this peaceful town! now get out from my store!" jeno heard the shopkeeper yelled furiously.

jeno was curious so he looked at the shopkeeper and saw him chasing away a girl. as the girl turned to leave, jeno recognised her. it was kim bora.

as soon as bora left, jeno asked the shopkeeper what he was furious about. "the girl asked me places where people usually commit suicide. such a weird girl." the shopkeeper answered as he sighed. jeno quickly ran out of the store and looked around for the girl. however, bora was nowhere to be found.

"thank you my sunshine." jeno's mom said as jeno passed him the things he had bought from the store. jeno smiled as his eyes formed cute crescent moon. he walked upstairs to his room and thought about bora. "that can't be.... she can't be a vampire right...?" he mumbled to himself. he quickly reached for his phone to text his friends.

jeno smiled as he read through the messages. he felt really excited for this weekend. the dream team, that's what they called themselves had planned to stay at jaemin's family cottage for the weekend. only the four of them, having fun like there's no tomorrow.

the boys grew up together and their parents also knew each other, which is why they always had stay overs plans at each other houses. this time, it was jaemin's turns and since he's a rich spoiled kid they decided to stay at his family's cottage in the forest. it's not a dangerous forest so their parents weren't scared to let them alone in there. plus they're 18 years old teenagers.
