Jeongguk p.o.v

I woke up to a click-clack and a bang-bang. I open my closed eyes slowly and see a young man in front of me. His name was something Young, well I don't care he is disturbing my precious sleep. I was about to go do my morning routine when something Young came and said " Young Master Jeongguk you need to make house rules. Your yard is too empty and I think you need to plant more blue lilies or black roses. So which do you prefer?"

I had developed a trauma from the time a maid left me in a black rose patch. " Yah Jinyoung don't you dare mention black roses in front of his highness," a palace attendant informed.

" It's okay, Jinyoung come here," I said as I motioned from him "JinYoung I want you to do a job for me. I want you to taste every dish before I touch it. " I told Jinyoung it was no big deal as I never tasted any dish with poison before.

"Yes, Young Master," Jinyoung replied. " Young Master there is a guest outside the manor should we let him in."

"Yes, let him in," I said as I was half frustrated and half hungry.

I saw a person wearing a mask come in and whisper in my ear "I'm your new shadow guard Oh Sehun." After he said that he went outside most likely familiarizing himself with his surroundings. Knowing it I continued to dress and wake up and I try to write, but my fingers still haven't healed and hurting. I walk to Snow Pavilion hoping that no one asks me about my hand. I sit in the normal spot reading as I wait for Master Lee.

I kept thinking that maybe Eunoch Kim might not be ill just that he is sick of me and serving me. I try to push the thought away, but Eunoch Kim was like my secret holder I would tell him every single thing that happened like if an official praised me or if kids made fun of me he has been with me for ten years. He is my one and only precious friend. I see Master Lee coming and I stand up to give a slight bow.

"How have you been Prince Jeongguk." Master Lee asked.

"I have been trying to hold up. After all that has happened, I don't know what to expect anymore," I replied.

Master Lee nodded his head in an understanding way. "Let us start our lesson. Today we aren't going to practice your calligraphy skill's, but if you can maintain your stable energy with poems," Master Lee said.

"Master, how are we going to do that," Jeongguk asked. People say he knows everything, but in truth, he is only a young developing fifteen-year-old.

"That prince Jeongguk you have to find out yourself. In six days tell me what you have learned." Master Lee said before he slowly rose up. Matching the same pace as Jeongguk. "I bid you farewell Prince Jeongguk. The money and power you have can't compare to a mothers love. That I grieve, but I hope Jinyoung can serve you well. Please keep this at heart." Master Lee said as he walked with a skip.

I was walking in big circles in my courtyard and kept thinking what ' maintain your stable energy with poems' means. I tried turning rocks over with my feet, smelling flowers, chasing a bunny-rabbit that happened to be in the courtyard, and going to the chicken pen and chicken fighting with one of the chickens. After all of that, I still couldn't think of what 'maintain your stable energy with poems' means. I walk back to Olive Courtyard and sat down on the porch waiting for Taeyong hyung to further teach me swordsmanship. I really liked Taeyong hyung, he always taught me new things it was as of he had a seventh sense. I am also grateful that he stayed by my side. He could have passed the civil exam to be a general easily, but he stayed by my side I'm really grateful for that. I see a familiar figure walk toward me wearing an aqua blue hanbok with two wooden swords by his sides. [A/N imagine Taeyong in a hanbok wouldn't he look so hot. Sorry, fangirling :)]

"Jeonggukie, how have you been?" Taeyong hyung asked.

"Really well," I said smiling my best fake smile cause I really don't want Taeyong hyung to worry about me.

"Well okay, lets practice now," Taeyong hyung said half believing and half having doubts about the younger.

I picked up my wooden sword and the tiniest movement made my hand hurt, but I have to persevere if I want to improve. I started defending myself by blocking the sword and I scan Taeyong seeing if there are any weak or vital points I can hit. I see that is knee is not protected and aim at it I hit the knee. I should have thought of the results cause Taeyong ended hitting my back which is a strong vital point.

Taeyong hyung sees that I am taking this hard as he had started to rub my back and my breathing started to slow down" Hey, do you want to learn something." Taeyong hyung says suddenly

"Sure, why not," I replied.

" You have to think that your feet are your mind as they control your every move. Your hand is your eyes and that helps your mind attack. With that in mind, it will affect you greatly. It is the same with literature except that it's your hands that control your body and your eyes are your interpreters of everything you read." Taeyong hyung said practically giving a lecture.

I finally understand what ' maintain your stable energy with poems' means it means your eyes are interpreting everything around you and your interpretation determines what you think it is. if a sad poem contains elements of love and happiness. I might interpret it as a poem of yearning and heartbreak. I turn to Taeyong hyung and give him my biggest bunny smile and I said a big Thank you. Taeyong hyung gave me a ' why are you doing this face', but I just gave him my bunny smile as a reply. Maybe it might be a good week I smiled at that thought.
