I look up from the letter and saw Jeongguk crying. It wasn't like normal crying it was silent and Jeongguk didn't move a muscle. I sighed and stood up and engulfed him in a hug. Jeongguk kept crying and sobbing on my shoulders as I patted his back and laced my hands through his raven hair. After a long time of no motion, he finally responded and hugged me tightly as if his life depended on it. I guess the thought of having to receive the crown and the letters of hate was too overwhelming for him. I got an idea and kissed the top of his head, like what my mother used to do when the job was too hard or I didn't meet up to fathers standards. He seems to have calm down and snuggle closer to my chest. Unconsciously, I kissed the crown of his head again and he looked up at me with those stained doe eyes. I just put his head on my shoulder and rocked him lightly.

After the moment he broke the hug and gave me his bunny-like smile. I also smile making my dimples visible. "Hyung I'm fine now you can leave tell father that I decline," Jeongguk said as he turned toward the door and walked to harvest courtyard. I just stared at his back knowing that I will get a scolding for not obeying and following Father's orders. There's nothing for me. Nobody really cares about me. I hate when people say I only got the title crown prince because I was born first and I don't have any potential. All I hear is just a stone cold "Give up on your nonsense dreams". Their words on giving up hit my ears. My despair only gets bigger. Covering the sky called hope. If I could turn back time I will prove everybody wrong, but I have already shown my potential and it's just a harsh process of acceptance. I return to my chambers and flop onto my sheets and closed my eyes.

Jeon Jeongguk

When I stepped out of my room I didn't realize that my face was covered with a light shade of pink. I just felt comfortable and it felt so warm. I didn't even think about cutting myself during the hug. I strolled to harvest courtyard and tried to be as quiet as possible. I jumped when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I look over me and see a monster with horns growing out of its head. The monster pointed at a particular spot in the garden and I saw another monster gobbling up Taehyung Hyung. He was crying in pain but when I moved it felt like the world was slowly cracking and sinking into the ground. I close my eyes until I couldn't hear Taehyung Hyungs cries anymore. I look over my shoulder again and saw Taehyung hyung laughing  at me "Hahaha Jeongguk you should look at your face it was so wei..." I cut Taehyung off as I wrap my arms around him. I really was scared that I was going to lose him to a monster." Alright, I'm sorry I took this too far okay. Don't cry," he said as he patted my head.

I look up and touched his cheek. Taehyung turned a light shade of pink but didn't pull away which made me smile. I took my hand away and hugged him even tighter. I spent the rest of the afternoon with him and we read and talked over famous literary works and manuscripts. I looked around the room to find and familiar dagger at the table in which contained a bunch of paper and ink. Why was my dagger here? "Hyung," I said as I tugged his sleeves.

"Yes, Jeongguk?" Taehyung answered turning to face the younger.

"Can you let me try the plum tea you said you found in the southern border?" I ask with a little pout.

"Sure, I'm going to waste it if I don't drink it soon," Taehyung said "Jeongguk stay here and wait for me I'll be right back"

"Okay," I said and gave him a wide smile.

"Aigoo your so cute," Taehyung said as he turned away and went out of his study.

I got up and walked up to the desk I grabbed the dagger; I inspected it since he could have the same dagger as me, but it had the familiar scratch I made when I dropped it. I hid it in the back of my sleeves and walked back to the cushion and sat down waiting for Taehyung to come back. I looked around the room and noticed that the room was decorated in blue. It never really hit me as my mother was a concubine so she never got to have a grand funeral. I study all of the things in Taehyung's room. I thought Taehyung came back but I was met with the big fat fluffy bunny I was playing with. I stood up and walked to the bunny, but it doesn't seem to want to play and I ran after it hoping the bunny would get some movement. The bunny let out small whimpers making me stop. It looked fine, but the leg was a little weird. I picked up its left paw and saw that there was a splinter in its paw I carefully pull it out and wrap a piece of cloth I found laying on the desk. I set the bunny free and went back to sit on the straw cushion.

"What did you do when I was gone?" Taehyung said as he walked in the room with a pot of tea.

"Oh...u-um nothing," I said in return. After I finished the cup of plum tea I excused myself and went back to my chambers.
