Yes, your right, but I will be by your side and there is already no turning back.
I called Jongdae hyung over. " Jongdae I want you to send Lee Taeyong to me and send assassins to injure someone," I said without any hesitation.
" Excuse my rudeness but who might you want me to injure?" Jongdae asked.
"7th prince Jeongguk," I said blankly as if something in me is rejecting Jeongguk existence.
" I humbly accept your command," Jongdae said.
" Wait, I heard your mother is sickly and is unable to move," I said.
"Yes, your highness," Jongdae replied.
" If you can order the assassins to kill themselves if they are found, I will reward you fifty tails of gold," I commanded.
"Thank you for your grace," Jongdae said and bowed before leaving.
Lee Taeyong and I had a deadly staring contest but I still got him to help me in my plan
Now the fun begins. I went to Olive Courtyard and saw Jeongguk playing with the big bunny in the garden.
He is such a disgrace how can he slack off and play with that filthy animal. Both of them make me want to vomit.
I think Jeongguk is cute and he is only a fifteen year old. he works harder than anybody in the palace.
So if he is the king's child Then he should be able to avoid all the assassins that are hunting him.
Just as my mind finished the sentence an assassin came and charged right at Jeongguk. I wanted to defend Jeongguk from the assassins, but my body just won't move. I hoped Jeongguk will be able to defend himself. I just stood there and I felt so guilty. It was like I was growing horns and becoming a devil.
You know you love it, that you're a monster. Remember that I'm by your side and that if your a monster then The crown you worked so hard for will just be in vain.
The assassin moved so fast I was so scared really scared. Two people jumped down and killed the assassin. Jeongguk looked behind him and saw a dead body. I was relieved and unsatisfied at the same time. I then a group of assassins entered the courtyard and charged right at him. One assassin got though Jeongguk's shadow guard and since Jeongguk wasn't armed he was a weak target. They started fighting and I closed my eyes until I heard a loud grunt. I slowly opened my eyes, and see the sword pierced though Jeongguk's stomach. The assassins were now all dead and I left satisfied. I return to m chamber and I had the most peaceful nap ever.
Jeongguk pov
I was fighting with the assassin and I was busy trying to distract the assassin I felt something pierce my stomach. It was agonizing, it felt like my body was tore in two. The last thing I heard before fainting was Yugyeom's voice ordering for a doctor.
Author pov
The palace was in utter chaos The king was ill, Hoseok was attending palace affairs, Seokjin just came back, Taehyung found out about the plan, and Jeongguk just got wounded and unconscious.
The physicians ran back and forth from the king's chamber and Jeongguk's chamber.
When Teahyung heard the news he was practically running to Jeongguk's chamber."How is Jeongguk imperial physician?" Taehyung asked frantically.
"Prince Jeongguk is fine, but if the wound went a little deeper then I am afraid he can no longer survive. He also has bruises and internal injuries near his arms and legs." the imperial physician answered.
Just then Concubine Min came rushing in, " Oh my, how did this poor child get hurt I demand you to heal him as quickly as possible! " Concubine Min said. It was so obvious she wanted Jeongguk to die. Her fakeness made Taehyung want to kill her right then. "How about we send him to the north it is isolated he can live in peace." She said with fakeness threaded all over her words.
" Mother how can you say that! The north is cold and he is just a child." Yoongi said rushing in.
" Son, mother didn't mean it I just think cold and fresh air will benefit him," She said.
"Mother do you think I didn't know you killed Concubine Jeon and Concubine Park," Yoongi said in a cold and low voice.
"What are you talking about?" Jimin came in and asked.
Jimin walked in and pretended to rush to Jeongguk's side and cried out " Who did this to him!" Jimin was very aware he did this to him, but being the good brother he is he pretends everything is not his fault.
Seokjin and Namjoon came rushing in "Who did this to my Kookie!" Jin shouted at everyone.
"Seokjin you're going to disturb Jeongguk's rest," Namjoon whispered and tried to calm Seokjin down.
As if perfectly timed, Jeongguk spat out blood staining his clothes to a crimson red."Please wait outside or return to your chambers," The imperial physician said. All of them went outside except for Jimin since he was the closest brother to Jeongguk.
Concubine Min returned to her chambers and Taehyung dragged Yoongi to his chambers.
"Hyung is what you said true!?" Taehyung asked and this time he demanded an answer, but sometimes life just has unprovided answers.
"I don't know I just found the head maid of Concubine Park, she said that the only person who visited her was Concubine Min and that poison is found in her body," Yoongi said. Taehyung knew that the answer was not definite, but he knew the first suspect had to be her.
Meanwhile
Hoseok finished his duties and is hurrying to visit Jeongguk before getting some sleep and resuming his duties. No one was there at the time so he Just entered his chambers. He didn't know how long he hasn't visited. The familiar jade statue, The scratch on the wall he and Jeongguk made when they were children, He walked further and further until he reached a door that used to hold precious memories, but has now turned into a suffocating place. He slowly walked in and he was hit with a horrifying image. Jimin was hovering over Jeongguk and he was choking an almost lifeless Jeongguk. I heard him whisper something, but Hoseok only made out revenge, Han Han, and pay for your sin. Hoseok quickly ran up and yanked Jimin's hand away from Jeongguk. He was pale and didn't move. As Jeongguk was busy making sure Jeongguk was okay and that Jimin didn't come near Jeongguk, Jimin inched closer to Hoseok.
Jimin looked at Hoseok...
