Sunglasses

I brushed my hair behind my ear and pushed my sunglasses more onto my face because they kept slipping a little. I swung my legs back and forth as I leaned back into the chair.
I examined the room around me. There were quite a few people milling around, and the numbers were increasing by the second. I sat in the front row so I was very close to the stage.

A group of friends shuffled past me and they sat in a row on my left. A man sat down next to me. It seemed as if he came with the group of friends, but they weren't talking to him. I decided to be nice and I turned to him.
"Hey." I said with a smile.
"Oh, hi." He smiled back at me. He had brown hair and vibrant blue eyes. Plus I thought I heard an Irish accent.

"Those your friends?" I pointed past him to the small group of people.
"Yeah..." he shrugged.
"Seems like they're being a bunch of douches not talking to you."
"Oh," he chuckled, "they're just talking about the person who is singing tonight, and since I don't know about her I don't know what to talk about." Yep, definitely has an accent. Also he looked vaguely familiar....
"You came to a concert and don't know the singer?" I laughed.
"Well, someone else was supposed to go but they got sick at the last minute so they asked if I wanted to tag along. I figured it might be fun." I nodded and smiled.
"You seem like a good friend."
"Well I'm not just going to turn down a free concert ticket!" He laughed and I did too. This guy was funny.

I checked the time on my phone quickly, the show was about to start.
"I'm Sean by the way." The man said.
"Well it was nice to meet you Sean! Unfortunately I have to go now though." He gave me a confused look as I stood up and took off my sunglasses. I gave a little smile and I walked onto the stage.
"How's everyone doing tonight?" I yelled and was greeted by screams. I glanced over at Sean who was laughing and I gave him a little wink.
"Wonderful! Let's get this show started!"

(Time skip to after the show)
"Alright everyone that's all the time I have for tonight. Thank you so much for coming! If you want I'll be sitting over here and you can come talk to me. I promise I don't bite!" I got a few laughs out of that.
"However, only 3 minutes per group! I have to leave at some point!" I smiled and sat down at the edge of the stage and a line quickly formed. My concerts weren't big, I liked to keep the venues small. I did that because I felt like I could interact with fans more and talk to them, like I was doing right now. No "VIP" pass necessary.

After a long while the last person in line arrived.
"Hey, Sean!" I smiled, "like my little surprise?"
"Well I sure was confused!" He chuckled, "also my friends hated me for not realizing it was you."
"That's why I wear the sunglasses. I love the reactions." I chuckled.

I looked over to the corner of the room the see Sean's friends looking over at us.
"They seem a little jealous, doncha think?" I nodded my head towards them and he turned to wave at them.
"They're going to either kill me or swarm around me asking questions when I get back over there," He chuckled, "you did amazing tonight by the way."
"Thanks! I actually thought tonight wasn't as good as the others since I'm getting kind of tired from the tour. It's good to know that it wasn't as bad as I thought." I smiled.
"Oh no, it wasn't bad at all! You were awesome." He assured me.

Sean and I talked for a while because I completely forgot about my own rule '3 minutes per group'. Plus he was and interesting and pretty funny person. Eventually I looked down at my watch.
"Ah shit I have to go. I have to hit the road again soon."
I hopped off the stage to stand beside him.
"Woah! Someone's shorter than me for once!" Sean laughed as he looked down at me.
"Shut up." I punched his shoulder, but i couldn't help but laugh too.
"Well anyway, it was nice to meet you y/n." He smiled and gave me a quick hug, which surprised me but I didn't mind it.
"Nice meeting you too, Seán." I replied and he began to walk away.
"Oh before you leave!" I wrote down my number on a little piece of paper and handed it to him, "text me if you want, you seem like a chill person."
"Will do!" Sean smiled and walked out of the room.
He seems nice...
And I don't think he's an axe murderer so that's a plus.

I chuckled and walked to my little dressing room. I took off my jeans, top, and leather jacket and put on some sweatpants and a T-shirt.
"That's better." I sighed happily as I started grabbing my stuff. Once the few items I brought were packed into a little duffel bag I walked out of the building and hopped onto my tour bus. I was greeted with some high fives and compliments on a good show. We were quickly nearing the end of my tour, which I was sad but also happy for because touring is exhausting. I set my bag down on my bunk and then sat on one of the couches in the back, putting in my earbuds and turning on some music. I opened up my laptop and started answering some emails.
This is going to take a while.
