When we explained to my dad what happened, he was in total shock. He hugged me a bunch of times. So did Percy, Alex and Noah. They were all happy for me.
When me and Percy got back to camp, we told everyone what happened to me aka me dying and also telling everyone about me being Queen of the Merfolk plus me being a mermaid. For the whole summer everyone looked up to me. Why? I dunno. For the whole summer I hanged with Kiara, Percy, Alex and Noah.
Percy introduced me to all of his friends and life was great! Except for when August rolled around...
August; a week to decide if I'm staying or going
I sat on my bed mumbling to myself. Percy was sitting on his bed.
"Ava, you can stay if you wanna train and don't want to worry about monsters. But when I was 12, I went onto 7th grade like a normal person." Percy explained.
"And you blew up the school.." I told him. He sighed.
"And what about your mortal friends? First of all, you didn't hang with them all summer. Ava my point is, is that you should go to school." He looked at me and smiled
"Can we devise a system?" I asked him,. He tilted his head.
"What do you mean?"
"Like everyday a certain time, I'll Iris Message you and we can talk for a couple of minutes." He smiled.
"I like that."
"So it's settled. I'm going to mortal school! Let just pray that I don't have to stop school in the middle of the year." Yeah well, I know that promise wouldn't last.
