When I appeared on the beach all I heard was Percy saying my name. He came over and hugged me. I hugged him too. After we hugged, I got right to the point, literally.

"I heard about last night," I told him. I put my hand on my blade. I unleashed it and put it at his throat.

"Don't.Tell.Anyone.Else." I told him in the most threatening voice. "Oh gods, um, ok!" He said. I put my sword back and then came rolling in were the questions.

"When did you get a sword." He asked.

"Dad said this is Harpe. Perseus's sword. He slayed Medusa with it." I told him that dad trusted me with this.

"Where did you get that outfit?"

"It's actually cool to know. All I have to do is think of an outfit in my mind and then 'snap' I have it on. And now I can water travel myself anywhere I want!" I told him all about my journeys. "Well, I'm glad you had fun. Come on, Annabeth thought you were dead last night..."

"DEAD?!" I patted myself down. "I think I'm perfectly alive." I told him. He started laughing. I liked it when he laughed. After a couple of jokes we went to go see Annabeth and Chiron at the Big House.

Once we got there Annabeth and Chiron were already waiting. I already knew what we were gonna talk about. Percy, Annabeth and I all sat on the same couch with Chiron in front of us.

"Can I just say, who knew that Ava was going to be a mermaid?" Annabeth asked and we all started laughing.

"Well, what's most important is that we won't reveal this to the campers, yet." Chiron said. "And, the idea that Ava is going on her first quest."

"What?!" We all said at the same time in shock.

"Are you serious?"

"I mean I went on my own quest when I was 12."

"What is a quest?!"

Chiron didn't even know where to start. "Ava, a quest is a mission, most of the time with a prophecy. Annabeth, I'm serious, and Percy, we get it."

"Well, we can go with her. She can bring 2 others along." Annabeth said.

"Poseidon said that it doesn't matter if Percy goes or not. But she has to pick 2 mermaids/mermen."

"I know who I'm going to pick then!" I shot up saying.

"Who? You don't know-" Annabeth started saying.

"Alex and Noah!"

"Ava," Percy turned to me. It looked like he was concerned. "Who in Hades is Alex?"

"Oh a new friend, she's friends with Noah, and she's really nice." I thought back on what my dad said. She gets in trouble most of the time. But what type of trouble?

"But what do I have to do on this 'quest'?" I asked Chiron. "You have to ask your father about that one." Chiron said. "It's 10 in the morning, and Poseidon wants you and Percy at 4. You have time to practice.

Percy, I'll give you an exception to skip your classes. Now off you go!"

The whole way back to the cabins Annabeth had a grudge. "It's not fair" she would mutter that to herself. I stopped in my tracks, hoping to get her attention. Which I did.

"Annabeth, I would pick you, it's just that, my dad said mermaids or merman."

"I know, it's just, I wish I was one. I'll catch up to you guys in a bit." She stormed off to her cabin. Percy and I watched her run off and after that we walked to the arena in silence.
