Ashleen's POV:
When I got back to my apartment after the meeting I decided on a bath, a shower would have been the usual go to but it wasn't what I was in the mood for. Once I walked through my front door though my plans ended up changing.
" Ms. Caprice, I believe you have been given the task of bringing me to meet our maker. " Were the words that met me as a gun was pointed at my face. A low growl slipped past my lips as the person before me shifted their stance, my eyes drifting by the nozzle of the gun to take in the idiot.
A short woman with a dark-skinned complexion stood before me. Her hair was like a fiery fire, so red and dreaded down to the middle of her back. While to the outside regular minded person she may have seemed like a new age model, to me I could see the deadly gleam in her eyes. Were it not for that I probably would have found her appealing, but I knew what she hid behind her mask of beauty and confidence. Death and a blood-thirsty hunger.
"First off, Who the fuck are you and why are you in my house? Second get that gun out of my fucking face." I snarled as I closed my front door behind me and moved toward the trespasser. They began lowering the gun, but slowly, keeping their eyes scanning my body while I watched their eyes. When they finally put the gun in the waistband of the jeans did I surge forward, grabbing their wrist and jerking them forward before kneeing the woman in her stomach, hearing the air whoosh out.
This stuff was second nature to me, but when I felt the distinct feeling of fangs biting into my forearm did I gain some sense of vulneralbility and groan. A vampire bite isn't euphoria like books make it out to seem. It's like if someone cut you just to pour alcohol into the wound and it doesn't numb down, the pain only intensifies.
So while her teeth were sunk into my forearm I grabbed one of the hidden blades I had on me and jammed it into her trapezius, the muscle between her shoulder and neck. Hella painful and damn near effective, as her head snapped back a millisecond later and a strangled scream bubbled up her throat.
I punched her square in the mouth with my good arm, watching her eyes roll back as she collaped in seemingly slow motion. I was going to have to get answers from her because right now she was my number one suspect for the recent vampire killings. I wasn't going to write her off as the killer yet, She barely put up a fight, I doubted she killed seven people.
I dragged her to one of the corners of the kitchen, out of immediant view, I sure as hell wasn't dragging her anywhere else in my house to make a bloody mess. the kitchen would be the easiest to clean anyways. I took her gun and checked over her body for anymore weapons before hogtieing her and going to lock my front door.
Now I had more work to deal with and I still haden't gotten my bath, looks like I may have to settle for a shower.
