AN: EAKK! It's the date guys!

Ashleen"s POV:

I dropped my phone back into the center console after checking the time and waited for the light to change, looking around and spotting a flower shop off to the right. Would flowers be too old school? I mean my father gave my mother flowers at the beginning of each week, I haven't been raised a total brute, even if I can be heartless.

I pull up to the flower shop and hop out, leaving the car on and setting the voice command so it will only open with my voice. The florist, a petite 20 something-year-old vampire stands outside watering some bright bluish-purple flowers. they're really beautiful and I realize that they're lavender. Perfect.

"Excuse me, can you help me out," I say over the girl's shoulder, causing her to tense slightly before turning. She eyes me up and down with her small frown from being snuck up on changing to one of slight fear when she recognizes who I am.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Madam, wh-what can I um, what can I help you with?" she stutters out with a slight trace of fear, trying to cover it up with a small cough. her hands trembling before she drops the water can beside the flower pot to her left and clasps her hands in front of her.

"Don't worry, I'm not here on business, I just need some flowers. preferably some of that lavender," I motion to, "I would like a small bouquet, add some white flowers too, those really small clustered ones, and something else, not roses or anything big, I want a delicate bouquet." I know I may sound demanding but I just know what I want.

The woman nods and grabs some small shears from her apron and proceeds to cut a small cluster of lavender before asking me quietly to follow her and leading me into the store where it seems like a jungle. she leads me over to a group of different white flowers.

"If it's alright madam, a suggestion," she questions looking up then back at her shoes, "these are called Baby's Breath, they seem to be what you were describing, a small amount will look beautiful. I also have sweet pea flowers which will probably go well." she said holding the lavender up beside the flowers and looking to me for confirmation. I tilt my head, It was the flower I was thinking of and it looks good so far. I nod my head holding a grin back as the woman lets out a shaky breath.

"I'll just have to go to the back to get the sweet pea madam. One moment please," she says as she places the flowers on the counter and speeds to the back, appearing a moment later with a few delicate flowers clutched to her chest, some white and some a faded light purple. "I had some purple as well as white and thought to leave it to you and see if you would like the purple as well."

Hmm, smart move. I muse as I nod at the woman, grabbing all of the flowers and shuffling them around until I find an appealing formation. "Do you have White lace or ribbon? Either is fine. I won't need any paper to wrap it." I say as I admire the bouquet.

She nods quickly and dashes to the end of the counter and ducks down coming back a second later and holding up two strings, one of white lace, and one of white ribbon. I eye them before grabbing both and draping them over the flower stems. I debate over it for a moment not sure before I ask the woman," Your honest opinion?"

She looks at me with wide scared eyes before opening her mouth," My honest opinion Madam?"- I nod bemusedly-" I think black ribbon Madam, It will stand apart from all of the white and purple. That's is my honest opinion madam." she says bravely before ducking back down and handing me a long thin black ribbon.

I add the black ribbon and drape it the same way I did the other two. She was right, and I think it looks much better, the white was too much. besides black is one of my favorite colors. "I'll take it, thank you for the suggestion, it is perfect." I smile, baring some fang and where before she looked up at me with a small smile, now she drops her head.
