The Call

AN: Ugh I've just started this book and already am slacking, Its October so I want to do inktober this year and already missed day one because my ink pens ran dry so I need to buy new ones, I may miss day two so I'm upset about that. Are any of you guys artists or doing inktober too, or anything interesting?  Let me know.

Ashleen's POV:

 

  I'm looking down Into a bowl filled with delicious looking brownies when I feel my phone beginning to vibrate in my back pocket so I grab it and look at the caller ID. Unknown. typically I answer If I know I'm expecting a call, coven member are always changing their numbers, but I'm not expecting a call.

  I look up at Mrs. O'Neil with an apologetic grin and wave my phone at her before walking over to the door and telling her I'll be right back. After one last quizzical look, I answer the phone with a question filled "Hello?"

  "OMG! Hey hi, I don't know If you remember me I'm the girl from the library who you let borrow your phone and then gave a ride..." I hear quickly rambled from the other end of the line. Alex. Why is she calling me?  I'm not complaining, just curious.

  "Yeah, I remember you, your name is Alex, right? The beautiful girl who so desperately wanted to know my name." I tease a smirk raising my lips. I hear a muffled gasp and I laugh, it's so fun to tease.

  "So what can I help you with Alex? I know you must have gotten my number from whoever you called on Friday so why are you calling me?" I ask, genuinely curious as to why this girl is calling me, an almost complete stranger. I mean all I did was let her borrow my phone and gave her a ride home.

  I hear some stuttering coming from the other end and then, "I don't know anything about you but I want to. I... I want to get to know you. I think - I think what I'm trying to say is.. is if you wanna I don't know, to go for a coffee or something." Alex says in a rush, tripping over her words and sounding adorable. I smile, she's trying to ask you on a date idiot. I think about it, it can't really go bad, could it?

  "Are you asking me on a date, little one?" I tease with my voice dropped an octave lower, letting a little laugh slip out when I hear a small squeak from the other end of the line. "Coffee sounds good I can be at yours in an hour and a half, I just have to do some things. is that okay with you?" I ask as I turn to walk to Mrs. O'Neil's again. I'll spend some time with her and then go to my place.

  "That's awesome, Do you remember your way here? If not I'll text it to you," she confirms and I hear the elation in her voice and I can just picture her, doing that little dance she did when her call went through that day in the library. She really is adorable.

  "be ready, I'll see you soon, Little one," I whisper into the phone, ending the call when I hear her Small, See you soon.

AN: so do you guys like the chapter pov's, or would you prefer I go back and forth in the same chapter, Like when they're together?
