On the first day of Christmas

I'm already at the table with my danger quartet when Harry walks through the doors for breakfast. His hair looks especially messy and his eyes seem more tired than usual. When I pay more attention I see that his friends seem the same. I bet Granger made them stay up late studying again. Somehow though, even with his messy hair measure than usual, he manages to look angelic. The fairy lights strung around the room and reflect off of his eyes.
"You know, with the lights reflecting off of his eyes like that they look like Christmas trees..." I rest my head on my arm, the same way Harry does when he wants to nap in History but Granger makes him take notes.

"Wow okay he's been in the hall thirty seconds and you're already starting... This is going to be a horrific twelve days..." Pansy smacks Blaise's shoulder playfully. As if she's telling him to leave me alone, but not disagreeing. Slowly the hall begins to fill more until every student is eating. Then the owls begin to come in. Many students decided to stay behind for Christmas this year so many owls swoop down to deliver mail. About seven owls were carrying gifts. I only played attention to Harry's owl. I had gone in the owlery last night with the package and a handful of treats and asked Hedwig if she could give him the package the next morning. I didn't know if she would so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the box being carried by the pale bird. I only wrapped the packages in brown paper and string but I charmed it so it would turn into his favourite colour when he touched it. The string turned into glitter when he tried to untie it (as I had planned) and he gave the bird a treat before she flew off again. He picked up the label and his friends had looked over his shoulder to read it with him.

Day one!
I think you'd like to know I wrapped all of these myself, so I'm sorry if they're a mess.
Merry nearly Christmas. ♥

I had read it so many times and charmed it with untraceables so many times I could probably write you an exact replica. As he unwrapped the paper it turned to the most stunning green. He folded the paper neatly and put it along with the note in his robe pocket, taking in the box he uncovered. It was a pretty normal-looking box, but inside was a candle. The candle was charmed to smell like his favourite scent from childhood. I could only hope that he'd like it (even if I didn't get know why it smelt like cinnamon and chocolate)...

Once he opened the box he pulled out the candle. It was single wick, and the candle container was a mason jar. I knew Granger would know it was homemade. Almost as if I could read her mind she leant over. I'd assume that's what she said because she looked so awed, like those girls watching a sappy romance movie (which I totally don't enjoy...).

He unscrewed the lid and took what seemed to be a rather large sniff. His eyes filled with tears and the biggest smile crosses his face. The hall seemed rather silent at that moment now everyone has gotten into their meals and I could kind of heat their conversation.
"So what does it smell like mate?"
"It smells like the cookies I made with Petunia that day Vernon and Dudley were out... I... I'm going to burn this every night. I don't care about you guys you're going to deal with it." The group of roommates and Granger laughed. I don't think I've ever seen Harry that emotional... To think I did that... I can't even articulate how I'm feeling.

"Are you okay Dray? You're crying with this sippy smile on your face. I can't see well from here, did he like it?" I wipe my tears and his my head.
"You should see his smile Pans... He looks so... I don't know but it's beautiful." Pansy simply smiled.

When I walked past him in the hallway after free period he smelt like cinnamon and chocolate.
