14 - Wait what?

The two next weeks of the month, I can say I'm not great of a mother. I didn't even saw the kids after the amusement park thingy. I've been on Derik duties. That punk couldn't get enough of me. Good thing that the band don't have anything to do this week. Mr. Kitamura said that we can have a week off work because for once, we've finished the things we need. And second, test are coming. Pffft. I've missed the children. This week seems never ending. I hated it. Derik is being some pain in the ass. He always wants to be with me. I like the idea but, God I have a life too. He doesn't want me hanging with the guys, and the kids. I hated him for that. And he is making up for this. He always wait for me outside the room and we go somewhere of his liking.

"You know I have duties with my kids Derik" I mentioned.

"Kids? It's just a project babe. It's a schoolwork. I'm here. I'm real." He said.

It's a typical afternoon. It will all start just like that and will end up with an awesome evening planned by him. It was a Derik classic move.

Saturday came. I was hoping that I would meet the kids today. I was sure of it. I got my iPhone and typed something.

"I miss you. Can't wait to see you. I love you."

I sent it. I was going down the stairs and making my way to the kitchen to find me something to eat. No one was there in the house except me. I got a bread in the toaster, and waited for it. While I was waiting, I decided that want to have a day with the kids. I wanted to text them. I got my iPhone again in my pocket. To my horror I saw my text message from earlier and I sent to Amiel. Oh gods. What did I do to deserve this? I texted him again.

"Sorry. Wrong sent. It was meant for the kids."

I texted the kids the same thing what I texted Amiel earlier.

"I miss you too mom" Ariyelle was the first to give a reply.

"I miss you too mom" That one's from Flynn.

"When can we see you again?" That was Ariyelle.

I got my car keys and was heading down a front door. I wanted to surprise the kids. When I opened the front door, I was shocked to see Derik there and was about to push the doorbell. He was holding a bouquet of flowers. I was stunned.

"Good morning babe. You going somewhere?" he asked.

"Uhm, I just wanted to visit the kids" I said.

"Well, I've got something installed for us. An awesome one too."

I was a little bit torn. I wanted to see my kids. I really want to be with them now.

"So babe?" Derik was waiting for an answer.

"Well babe, I'm..." I started.

"Oh babe, please. I've been looking forward to this. I was planning this since Monday." Derik said.

"Ahhhrg. You do that for me?"

"Oh babe, I'll do it for you every lifetime we live through" Derik said smiling.

I hugged him and that's when a saw Amiel driving his car out.

"So let's go?" Derik asked me.

"Yeah." I said upon closing the door behind me. "Wait, does my clothes appropriate?" I asked this because I was wearing an oversized shirt, a short and my toms. I'm a comfortable dresser and not a dress to impress kind. He looked at me from head to toe. I think he was thinking about what he had planned for us and answered as soon as he remember all his plans.

"Yep. That should make you safe." He said.

"Safe? What safe? Derik Thompson. What did you planned?" I asked.
