17.5 - Reunion

Mrs. Gordav announced the party will be held Wednesday in the gym. She said that we should suit up for this. Monday went by like a fast bird. It was uneventful. The next day, I saw the kid's at lunch, they suggested that we should be talking about the story for next week. So t texted Sabrina to come by my pad and we should make some finalizations for the project with the kids. After school, I had gone through a drive thru to buy snacks for the kids. Then I fetched them up. We arrived at my house told them to go up my room and told them to stay put while I check out with my mom. I told her that we will have some finalizations with the project and let Sabrina go upstairs if she showed up.

I got upstairs to see the kids looking at an album with pictures of me and Sabrina growing up. Then I handed them the snacks I've bought for them.

"So what's the plan?" I asked the kids.

"We made a video of our pictures." Flynn said.

"Well can I see it?" I stated.

"Nope. It's a surprise." Ariyelle said.

"Well what do you think we should say tomorrow?" I uttered

"Good things. Well we've done good thing through the month right. Just say what your heart desires. What you are feeling. What you wanted to say all along." Ariyelle suggested with a mischievous grin.

"Hey, are you planning something again?" I said with accusation.

"No. I just want you to say everything you felt during the month long project. You can rant out there if you wanted." She said still wearing her mischievous grin.

"Ha-ha. You..." I didn't finished what I was gonna say. "You guys want to watch a movie? Its only just 5:30pm. We could watch something and finish it." I suggested. The kids approved at the idea and they lay on my bed comfortably. I opened the flat screen TV and got a movie going. I lay on my bed beside Flynn. We watched 'The Croods'. The movie was done around 7:00. I asked the kids to go with me in the kitchen to have dinner. We'll for starters Sabrina didn't showed up-again. There was baked mac in the table enough for the kids so I made them eat the baked mac. They finished eating and we moved our butts to the car. I dropped them off and I headed on a café. I parked my car just in front of the café, I never intent to eat, I just want a take out. I opened the door to the café. I was stunned to see Sabrina sitting there with Derik. She was looking right at me. I turned my back and got in my car. I heard her called me. It took me minute to start the engine, I was waiting for her. She didn't come. Then at that moment I became pissed at her. I was pissed at her for not coming to the meeting the kids suggested. I was pissed at her for not turning down the offer. I was pissed at her for making the kids wait for her. And above all, I was pissed at her for being with that jerk.

Wednesday

The day of the reunion. I woke up early, I was pissed when I remembered what Sabrina did yesterday. I got into the showers to cool everything down. I went back to my room and took my tux outside the closet. I didn't remember when I last used it. It was a black tux. I rummaged through my long sleeve, I was choosing between a red and a white one, but I was all like I want to look sharp today. I remembered the James Bond's movies then I came to decide to pick the white one. I fixed my hair up, got my shiny black shoes and called Ariyelle. "Be there in 15 love." I said through the phone. I called Flynn after that. "Hey buddy, I'm gonna fetch up Ariyelle up, get ready. Oh by the way, what are you planning to wear?" I asked.

"I'm not good at this dad. Could you help me pick something up?" he said.

"Do you have a tux? Wear it with your worn out skinny jeans and a white sleeves. Don't forget to wear you confidence buddy."
