The room was white, just like the floor. It was very hi- tech. Like a sci-fi movie. People were working on computers. Not just computers, but transparent ones, with only the screen, you can see what they are working on. Although I couldn't understand what they were doing. I felt the lady's hand on my arm. She started dragging me toward the door. "I don't have time. I've got loads of work pilled up on my desk. Please walk soon and stop gawking at my office." She opened the door and led me toward the corridor. There were several people walking. All were walking briskly wishing the lady who was leading me. "Good day ! Ma'am" they said. Only then it hit me that I didn't even know her name, she was a complete stranger, and yet I'm following her wherever she takes me to. But I don't feel unsafe around her, or this new surroundings. I feel something familiar though. The song "Familiar" by Liam Payne started playing in my head. It lightened up my mood though. We reached an elevator door- or that is what it looked like, anyway. There was a small panel beside it. The lady put her thumb finger in it, after scanning it, the doors slid open. It was cool. Definitely a sci-fi movie. I have to remind myself that I'm NOT dreaming. We went inside and the doors slid shut behind us. "Please take your seat." I sat down on the chair which was very comfortable. Oh how I wish I was in my bed right now. "Ok, at least now, please tell me why in the world I'm here!" I begged. "Ok, I'll tell you. But if you interrupt me, I'm gonna stop" she said with a stern look. "Alright, I won't interrupt". "This is the the Agency. Every year, on May, we look for talented kids to be enrolled here as trainee agents. An agent will be given lots of assignments to be done, like rescuing a kidnapped child and beating up the bad men who did it and bringing them here, and so on. A trainee agent will have to prove that he/she is worthy of becoming an agent. And so, my agents who work in the office found you to be special, and so I thought to give it a try" she said. I burst out laughing. "Me!!! A secret agent trainee!! Are u kidding me!" I said between my laughs. She didn't look like she was joking. She liked pretty serious. So I stopped laughing. "Are you done laughing Miss. Ciana Jenks?? I told you why you are here. Now it's time for you to decide whether you wanna be here as a trainee. Many kids your age would kill to get a trainee admission here. But you, you are laughing at a great opportunity like this. And you are wasting my time" she spoke very angrily. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I thought this was a joke, I'm really really sorry. Please give me some time to think. Please. I just moved from America to London and it's a lot to take in. I need to figure out if I really want to do this. I laughed because..... I don't know why you guys chose me. I don't think I have such capabilities to become an agent." I said very politely as I can. " Miss. Jenks, I'm sorry for speaking so harshly. Look-- my crew would simply not choose a person without knowing their capabilities. I always trust them with whoever they choose. There must be something special in you. Well, I'm done talking, it's you who have to choose now." She said. "Ok, I'll tell you by tomorrow, I guess". "Right. I'll take you tomorrow night at 7pm. Be ready with your choice."
" Ok, ma'am, and by the way what is your name?" I asked. "My name is Jennifer, ok I'll take you home then". She got up. I followed her to the room where we met. "Is this your agency?" I asked. "No. It's the government's. I'm just a person in authority here" Jennifer held my hand and pressed a button in her watch. The next thing I knew, I was in my home!! But Jennifer had disappears after a second. It still feels like a dream. I was very tired. So I went to bed hoping that I won't wake up in that white floor.
