I seriously didn't even know what to expect. Did something happen? Is Graylin okay? Is some family meeting gonna happen?
But what he said next had me both shocked and confused.
"Let me explain." He said before he paused.
"I don't really believe it's a big deal and I figured you wouldn't mind so uh-"
"Dad just tell me." I said as I began sound more annoyed
One thing I hated was not knowing things,no matter how big or minor. It was just a pet peeve I had.
"Alright, Alright." He started
"Earlier today Nicole and I were at the store and we ran in to David's parents, so we talked for a bit in the aisle and we discussed you guys. So long story short they will be coming over for dinner tonight." I
I paused just letting that sink in
"Tonight?"
He nodded
I literally had so many questions
All I said was a shocked "okay" before I walked out of his room.
I quickly walked in to my room and the first thing I did was pull out my phone to text Tyler
Screw it I'll just call him.
I dialed his number and it rang a few times before he finally picked up
"Hey don't trip I'm just as confused as you are right now." He said
"Okay as long as we're on the same page,"
He chuckled
"What time are you coming." I asked
"Well I don't know if I'm going for sure probably uh around 6 our 7, it's just gonna be David my mom and dad."
"Aw man please come!" I said
"I'll think about it."
"Don't let me down." I said jokingly
He just scoffed
"What's up with you man?" I asked
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know you kinda just seemed assholey since school ended.
He paused
"If I'll go I'll tell you it's a stupid reason but I don't feel like saying it over the phone."
"Alright well hopefully I'll see you."
"Bye."
He hung up and to be honest I wanted to hear what Alina had to say first cause she is my best friend but before I did that I was gonna break it to Kirk and call him.
I dialed his number and he quickly picked up
"Hey my lovely so what's happening " his sweet voice said
I giggled
"Hey I just wanted to tell you I can't make it tonight."
He paused
"Oh okay I totally understand why if you don't mind me asking?"

"Well uh- something happened and long story short David and his parents are having dinner at my house and uh- yeahhh."
"Really??"
"Mhm."
"Ugh it just seems like every time I wanna be with you something wrong has to happen and it had to do with him or Kathy."
