"Who's that?" He said looking over my phone
My palms began to sweat and my voice began to get shakey.
"U-uh just a uh friend." I said trying to avoid eye contact.
"Let me see."
I felt my heart drop. Just as I was lifting my arm to show him today the gods were on my side Nicole for some reason had my back.
"Oh give her some privacy i'm sure she isn't talking to anyone horrible." She said rubbing my dads back.
He looked at me and sighed
"You're right."
I smiled and excused myself to the restroom.
I pulled out my phone and looked around.
Me: hey! I've missed you too how are things? ❤
Kirk: eh they've going okay but I wish I could see you.
Me: yeah :(
Kirk: come over later just to hang
Me: I'm at dinner with my dad and his girlfriend. Ugh maybe tomorrow?

I turned off my phone and smiled. I missed him. School wasn't the same with out him.
I sighed and turned to walkopened.
I shoved my phone in my pocket.
The rest of the night for dinner was chill. Nicole and Graylin literally haven't stopped talking since the night began and my dad looked so happy. It was so nice to see everyone happy again.
That night as I got ready for school tomorrow I decided to prepare my outfit the night before cause I hated not knowing what to wear and wasting time in the morning.
Next day
I woke up to the sound of unfamiliar knocking. It wasn't my dad nor Graylin.
I furrowed my brows as I began to grow curious. I almost jumped when the door opened.
It was Nicole
"Good mornin Sammy your dad told me to wake you up. There is breakfast on the table." She said with a warm smile.
Breakfast does sound pretty good right now
I lazily rolled out of bed and fell on the floor.
"Fuck." I mumbled and got up and walked down the stairs.
Awaiting me was literally a breakfast you see in the movies.
I looked over and Graylin was up as well, just staring at it.
Without hesitation our fatasses dug in.
A few minutes later after I almost died from overeating. I finished my morning routine.
In the car my heart began to grow heavy it made me sad I wasn't gonna see him today.
Kirks POV
A few hours before
I woke up earlier than usual to admire the sunrise. It was so beautiful and in my opinion a great way to start the morning.
It reminded me of Samantha who was already my beautiful sunrise.
I missed her and I couldn't just let her go like this.
screw it. I ran back inside to get ready for the day.
I don't know how I'm gonna get there but I'll manage.
Back at school
Samanthas POV.
It was first period. Calculus. With the teacher I hated most. Mrs. Douglas.
"Okay class!" Her voice boomed.
"Today we are gonna start our group project!" everyone looked at each other confused.

The kid had this long blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. He had pretty severe acne but besides that he could be pretty attractive. "
"Hey." I said in a friendly voice.
He smiled a closed mouth smile and nodded up.
A few minutes in the group. Cassie and Alina were arguing about something. Me and the blonde haired kid just made small talk.
"What's your name?" He asked
"Sam. Yours?"
"James uh hetfield."
I chuckled at his small stutter. He turned out to be a cool dude. Me him and Alina became buds real quick.
"James you should hang with us at lunch sometime." Alina suggested.
"Man that would be great I'm kinda new and I don't really know anyone." He said
"Well meet up with us at the tables at lunch."
He shyly smiled.

The periods seemed to fly by. That was strange. I felt good for some reason as if something good was gonna happen.
Lunch quickly came around. Me ty Alina and David met up with James. The boys quickly became good friends. It made me happy.
I just felt happy for some reason. Not that there was much to be happy about but I felt as if something was coming.
It's probably all in my head. The lunch bell was gonna ring in a few minutes.
I decided to get to class early. I hated walking in late and have everyone stare at you. It was irritating.
It felt good not having David pamper me. I liked having myself again.
I sighed and walked up the ramp to the class it looked as if nobody was there. I knocked on the door and to my surprise
Nobody was there.
