I shook off the dream. I just think he's hot, that's it, no feelings right?
Today we made plans to go to the carnival that's happening in town. I threw on a pair of ripped jeans and a white long sleeve and headed out the door.
When we left the house to go to the carnival, I couldn't help but realised how beautiful everything was. The leaves were turning colours and falling from trees. The wind cold and crisp yet somehow soothing reminding you how alive you are as it hits your face.
When we got to the carnival, I felt like a little kid again. I smiled as I looked at the blinking lights, heard kids laughing and smelled a bunch of different foods mixed together. It brought back so many memories from when I was younger.
"My mom used to take me to carnivals." I admitted.
"Yeah," he began. "Mine too," he paused, looking at the floor. "But today we aren't going to think about that. We aren't to think about the case and we aren't going to think about our shitty lives. Today," he lifted his hands to the sky. "We are going to have fun. Okay?"
I laughed. "okay."
We ran out into the crowds of people, letting our problems stay behind. After playing a few games, and winning at none of them, Jungkook bought ride tickets. He pointed to the biggest and most scary looking ride I'd ever seen called; 'The Zipper'
"Are you kidding me?" I said. "Out of all these cute little SAFE rides around us... you want to go on that?"
"Yes," he responded. "Why? Are you scared?"
"Me? scared? No, never." I walked up to the ride and let Jungkook struggle to keep up.
Why the fuck am I doing this?
We gave the man 14 tickets to let us both on the ride. Everything was fine until he locked us in this tight metal cage.
oh my god, oh my god, i'm gonna die.
"Jungkook," I said, starting to have a panic attack. "Jungkook!"
"What?" he laughed, "scared?"
"yes okay," I shrieked. "I'm scared, wait no-, I'm terrified."
He took my hand with his and squeezed it. "You're going to be fine."
The ride began to move. "Oh no," I whispered, causing Jungkook to laugh. "This isn't funny!" I said, smacking him in the shoulder. I gripped onto his muscular arm for.. safety reasons NOT because i have feelings for my CO-WORKER.
The ride went around and around in circles, faster and faster each and everytime. I feel like I'm going to be thrown on the ground one minute then I feel like I'm flying the other minute. You would think that I would get used to the feeling and less scared. But no, that didn't happen. I griped Jungkook's arm tighter when the ride started going in reverse. At one point, I couldn't even scream because the force of the ride shut my mouth. I can only look for a moment in between screams, but Jungkook's smiling. He is smiling a real smile.
The ride ends and my head won't stop spinning. Jungkook and I walked out falling on top of each other, having not a shred of balance in our balance in out bodies. I trip over my own feet and fall onto Jungkook. My feet interwined with his, my hands on his chest, my body against his and out lips just millimetres away.
He took his free hand and removed a strand of hair from my face, gazing into my eyes. We leaned into each other until his lips met mine.
We've kissed before, but this one felt different. This one felt real. It felt like there were fireworks exploding behind us, it felt like there was nothing that mattered in this world for a moment, except him. He pulled away, smilling as I began to feel myself blush. He looked down at his feet, smiling lightly.
Shit, I do have feelings for him.
