Ever since the horrible phone call that he ended before he could hear even more moans from Isaac, Quentin had been feeling a little down. Alright, that was an understatement of the year. He was sad and heartbroken and depressed and he cried.

Sure, he had seen Isaac with girls before, flirting and kissing with them but that was it. Kissing meant nothing. No big deal. Because he had never before heard anything more happening, he never really thought that Isaac did anything else besides that. But apparently, Isaac had.

The boy he loved had sex with a girl and it hit him like a truck. He slept with someone who wasn't him. He slept with a girl. Why on earth had he thought that he could have any chance with that guy? His straight best friend?

After many years he finally understood when to stop hoping for something that won't happen and move on. That was the reason why he started to avoid Isaac a little bit. He was always around him, so close that it was almost ridiculous. If he kept doing that, he would never get over him. A little space between them wouldn't kill anyone.

Little things like sitting beside Katie or Marco on lunch instead of him or not calling him every time he was bored and wanted to hear his voice. He also shouldn't bring him breakfast because Isaac never had time to do it himself since he wanted to sleep as long as he could. He never even asked for Quentin to waste time on it, it was all his idea.

Maybe he wanted to be kind and make sure that he wouldn't starve to death every morning. Maybe he wanted to prove that he would be a perfect boyfriend who always put him first. And that was the problem.

Who was he trying to fool? Isaac would always be his first priority, no matter what he was to him. At least, now it felt like it. And it broke his heart that he would never be his. Soon, Isaac would have a wife and little children and a happy future that he wasn't part of. And he would be all alone.

"Wanna hang out after school?" Isaac asked during lunch and just like that, Quentin's heart started to beat faster. He was about to say yes but then his mind reminded him of the horrible moaning which made him shook his head.

"I uhh, I gotta babysit the kids. Mom and Dad have to go somewhere," he lied, feeling absolutely horrible about it but didn't do anything to change it.

"I can still come, they like me anyway," Isaac smirked and started to make a list what they could do. Quentin quickly interrupted him rudely but that was the only way. He didn't want to cry ever again because he wasn't good enough.

"You can't come," Quentin was struggling to find a good lie that would give him some space from Isaac which was something he never thought he would want. But now he knew that Isaac was with someone else and he really, really needed to forget that.

His best friend gave him a look that was a mix of confusion and anger. "What's going on, Queenie? I know you're lying, you're horrible at it so spill it out."

"Nothing, I just want to be alone today," he said a little bit too harshly before walking away, leaving a very confused Isaac behind.

Quentin sighed, already regretting how much of an asshole he was. Obviously, Isaac couldn't know that he had just broken his heart. But he couldn't be around him anymore, at least not alone or else he would probably cry again. And he was tired of crying.

He was walking around with no destination when suddenly someone ran into him, throwing him to the ground with his weight. It was clear that the boy wasn't fat or overweight but simply had more muscles than him.

After seeing that it was Theo, he started to curse him because he was the last person he wanted to be with right now. Quentin noticed that he was wearing black running shorts and a light grey tank top and holy shit, he looked pretty damn hot even when he was sweaty.
