"Want to tell me what happened?"

Quentin was silent, not knowing what to say. It was a stupid thing to lose control like that and hit Hunter no matter how much he deserved it. His parents had raised him better and until today, he had always managed not to get violent even when he wanted to.

This was his first fight ever and as good as it felt to hurt the boy after everything he said with that stupid smirk, he knew that this wasn't him. He didn't hurt others just because they hurt him. He was better than that.

And what would his mother say? His father would probably understand because that's just the way he was but his mother would freak out.

While his father let him do pretty much everything he wanted as a child and learn from mistakes, his mother told him such things as not to go to the tree while growing up because he would fall and hurt himself.

Hell, she almost even denied him from going trick or treating on Halloweens because it was too dangerous. Luckily she had a new husband who knew what joy it was for little boys like him. Who knew what else she would have forbidden without Chris?

"Queenie? You there?" a voice awoke Quentin from his thoughts and he turned to look at his best friend who was still sitting next to him. Frowning, he took a better look at the dark bruise on his left cheek. The one that he got when coming to help him but got hurt while doing it. Quentin had never hated himself more.

"I know that look. It's nothing, just a small bruise. At least I got it while giving one back to that motherfucker!" That made him laugh. His best friend really knew how to make even worst moments look better and that was one of the reasons why he loved him.

"Now that you have calmed down, want to tell me what happened? I mean, this was the first time I had to come to rescue you from going to the hospital. You fought with Hunter, are you crazy?" Quentin would have been angry if it wasn't for the sincere worry that was clear in Isaac's voice.

Of course he wouldn't be angry at him. If he said that Quentin looked like a donkey with these clothes, he wouldn't even blink. Okay, maybe he would get a little pissed off for that but just a little. He knew that he had a marvelous style.

"He said shit about my family. Dad, I mean my real Dad, Mom and even the kids. He crossed the line when he first started to talk about Mom as if she was..." he noticed that his hands were shaking and he couldn't even repeat Hunter's disrespectful words. He had never in his entire life been this angry at someone.

"Shit! What an asshole! How did he even knew about any of that? Not many know about your real Dad," Isaac frowned and seemed to think about many possibilities.

Quentin, on the other hand, couldn't care less how did he know all those facts because this was a high school and teenagers didn't care if secrets were supposed to stay a secret.

"I couldn't listen anymore after he said all that, you know? I just lost it."

"I understand, I would have done the same. Chris and Bree will be here soon, I guess. My advice is not to look like you're gonna explode again," Isaac said again and showed him to get his breathing better because it was pretty sure he was going to pass out soon.

A few minutes later his mother showed up with a strange look that was mixed with worry and anger. It was no surprise that she was the first one to arrive since she probably had a class just downstairs going on when she had a call.

She was walking towards the principle's office and he knew that he had to go there himself too. Immediately he stood up and took a deep breath before asking Isaac to wait there. He knew that he might be overreacting a little bit and that many students had done this before but it was the first time for him.
