My eyes tried to adjust to the light.

New eyes.. got to love some new eyes.

I'm on the floor which is always a great start.

Lifting up my hands, I saw youth again. A new, young body. Not that anything was wrong with the last body! being Scottish was rather fun.

Oh.. my head... I placed my hands and my scalp and masses of brown hair cascaded into my eyes. "Still not a redhead." I huffed and blew it out of my face.

The TARDIS must have landed. It's definitely not in space. I need a mirror...

Oh hello, handsome.

Brown hair

Brown eyes

Good teeth.

Still getting used to these taller legs and longer arms.

Let's find out where she's landed then.

"Earth?!" I said out loud as I turned to the TARDIS.

"The number of planets in our solar system and you take me to EARTH?!" I exclaimed.

But hang on, what year is it?

I darted back inside the TARDIS and checked the screen.

"2018... Lovely. Whereabouts... Ah a lovely place called the Cotswolds! That's fun to say.. Cots..wolds." I rubbed my hands and headed out the TARDIS again to see we were in a field. Which means some exploring time. Sonic at hand, check, all limbs regenerated, check. You don't even want to know what happened the last time apart didn't regenerate properly.

"Ah sir! Hello, can you tell me where the main.. villagey part of the Cotswolds is?" I asked a gentleman pushing a wheelbarrow.

"Yes. Follow this wall straight and make the first right through a fence." I nodded and continued on my way.

I'm here for a reason. The TARDIS always brings me to places for a reason. I just have to figure out what for.

I opened the gate to reveal the lovely little village.

In the year 3005 it won't be so lovely.

But anyway! Let's get going.

A red car came zooming down the lane at the same time a young woman was crossing the road.

A few minutes into my new body and I'm already saving people.

Here we go again.

I dived onto the woman just as she saw the car coming and we both fell onto the other side.

A small but quiet scream escaped her mouth.

"Ugh. Are you okay?" I asked her as I helped her up.

"Thank you sir but I'm very capable of crossing the road myself!" She dusted herself off and continued down the path.

"You didn't see that car coming though!" I walked to try and catch her.

"I saw it! I was just about to run across!" She said, not turning around to look at me.

I stopped in my tracks to see the village was empty.

Apart from me and this girl.

I don't like it.

It's too... quiet.

"Where is everyone? its 2 o'clock on a Saturday..." I asked her. She stopped and turned to me. "You really have no idea what's going on?" She asked.
