"Welcome to Nepra!" I said as I opened the TARDIS doors to a far away planet. "Woah..." said Violet as she stepped out.
"This is the year 3165. Nepra is a planet that is home to a civilisation of people. Almost like earth. Apart from the people are less... human like." I closed the door behind us and headed out. "You can travel this far into the future?" she asked.
"Oh yes. Even further." I smiled at her.
"What do we did here?" She was so excited I thought she was going to burst.
"Anything you want!" I put out my arms either side of me.
"Look in the markets, ride a gigantic lizard..."
"A gigantic lizard!?"
"The name is very difficult to pronounce so I prefer the term Gigantic Lizard."
She laughed and we continued down the market street. "So doctor, you cannot be as young as your face suggests." she said.
"Ha. I'm 914 years old. I'm younger than some of my other brother and sisters." I said as I picked up something from the market stall.
"How... I... I still need to get my head around this." She said
"You are over 1000 years in the future and me being old freaks you out?" I laughed and so did she.
"Yeah. You look like your in your late 20s."
"I would have been nothing but a small child." I said.
Before us came marching a group of robots. Tall and black with no face or any example of one. As they moved, the people bowed to them. "Just bow." I said to Violet as I did so myself.
I saw their legs stop right in front of me "Doc.tor." They said in their robotic tone.
"Ah Corius of Nepra!" I said as I stood up straight
"The robotic race of this planet!" I continued
"Her highness, Queen Visitie wishes to see you now." One of them said.
"Who's Queen Visitie?" Violet asked
"Ruler of this planet. It's been a good 100 years since I saw her last." I murmered to her.
"Yes! Lead the way! She's with me." I nodded as the Corius led the way.
"Doctor!" Said Visite. A tall, slender woman with incredibly long black hair.
"Your majesty." I kissed her hand and violet bowed.
"And who do we have here..." She hissed.
"A friend." I said.
"Hm... Human?" She asked
"The very kind. May I ask what you needed me for?"
"You see doctor, I have a slight issue here on Nepra." She placed her hand on my chest.
"Every evening, we have rainfall. The people are becoming worried." She continued.
"Rain?" Violet said
"This planet shouldn't get rain. It's acidic. The water source comes from the core of the planet in the folds of ravius', kind of like a sponge. It takes damp from soil and creates water." I explained.
"How long has it been happening for?" I asked Visitie.
"A day." She said.
"A day on Nepra is about 2 weeks in human time." I said.
"So, what could be causing it?" She asked.
"I'm guessing you have going to collected a specimen?" I said.
