"You're going to love this!" I said to Vi with my hands covering her eyes.

"Oh no Doctor. What is it?" She asked.

"Just keep your eyes closed..." I slowly removed my hands and went down one of the Tardis corridors and came back with something in hand.

"Okay, open." I said.

"Oh my God!" She said excitedly.

"You like?"

"I love it!" She placed a 1920s style dress up against herself.

"I look like I could be a character in the Great Gatsby!" She exclaimed.

"But how did you..."

I tapped the side of my nose with secrecy and headed back up to the main part of the TARDIS.

"Thank you." She said as she followed.

"No problem. But you're going to need somewhere to wear it!" I said. I pulled the lever and started to fly through time to the 1920s.

"Really!? At least I can actually experience it, unlike last time." She smiled.

"Let's get changed!" I said once we landed.

"Oh Doctor" she said as we walked down the steps.

"Impressive. You bought a suit?"

"I wear suits! Many actually in my time. I found out about two regenerations ago, I love bow ties." I smiled.

I opened the doors to 1920's Chicago.

Beautiful, elegant women walked up and down the sidepaths and Smartly dressed men crossed the road or hoped onto trams. It was just how you would imagine in it.

Amazing.

"Woah..." Said Violet as she got out.

"Can I have a fake name?!" She asked excitedly.

"Yes of course! If I have John Smith, you can have..."

"Virginia Powell..." She said dramatically with a flourish.

"You've thought about this haven't you?" I gave my arm out for her to link with.

"It comes in handy sometimes." She smiled and placed her arm through my loop.

As we walked down the street Violet said "If this is 1920's Chicago, then isn't this the probation?"

"Yes, it is! I was wondering if you knew. The probation of Gangs, quite right. The North Side Gang to be more precise. But what people need to understand is there were people, more or less kids, that wanted to do that kind of thing. Many small, little, unknown gangs went around for years going unknown." I explained.

"And you know because you're the Doctor, right?" She laughed.

"Obviously!" I continued.

"Welcome to a real 1920's club, bar thing!" I whispered as we entered the bar.

"Do we even have money to..."

"I have my own time whimey money exchanger." I whispered again as I pulled out some old-fashioned bills.

"Two Bees Knees please." I said to the bartender.

We both looked around at all the people.

It's quite scary going back in time.

I can admit that.
