The TARDIS was completely out of control. I think we hit something about 2 galaxies away.
"Doctor! What's going on!" Said violet, hanging on for dear life.
"Not a hundred per cent sure... But we're going to have to crash land!"
"Where?!"
"Earth! I have no idea when or where but here goes nothing!"
We twisted and turned through vortex's until
CRASH
"Ugh... Vi?" I said, crawling across the TARDIS.
"Here." I saw her arm pop up from the level below.
I hurried down the steps and helped her up.
"How often does this happen?" She asked
"Once in a while." I said as we walked back up the steps.
"Let's see where we are..."
I stumbled towards the door to open to a cloud of dust and revealed...
A crowd of people.
With pickaxes, and rifles.
Pointing them directly at us.
Men and women.
Great! The wild west!
I looked around behind the people and saw old western saloons and horses walking around.
"Hello! Um, I'm the doctor and this is my friend, Violet. We mean no harm." I said with my hands up.
"I say burn them at the stake!" Said one angry old lady.
The rest of the people started to cheer.
"Doctor... what do we do?" Said vi
"There's a reason we landed here, let's just...go with it."
The townspeople walked forwards and pushed us towards what I suppose is the sheriff's office.
"Sheriff!"
There we go.
"We found some outsiders that crashed in a blue box!" The person continued.
He turned around in his chair with his head down and looked up.
With a robotic face.
"What is that?" Violet whispered. It had half a human face that looked melted with a robotic side.
"I've met this guy before. A cyborg."
"Kahler Tek."
"Doctor." It said in its raspy voice.
"How many years?" I asked.
"64..." It breathed
"Leave us." He said to the people.
"You kept your word. Protector of Mercy." I said
"Yes. I have nothing else to do here."
"Violet, this a Town called Mercy. Kahler Tek is the Sheriff that I met two regenerations ago. Kahler Tek, this is my friend Vi."
"Doctor, what are you doing here?"
"Ah right. The TARDIS crashed here but there is a reason for that, right?*
"Yes."
"So, answer your own question," I said
"The ground, doctor. Haven't you noticed?"
I walked over to the window in his office and saw black coming out from under the buildings and in random patches.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Unkown." Kahler Tek stated.
I walked outside and knelt down to the nearest piece of black and scanned it with the sonic screwdriver.
"What does it say?" Violet asked
"Oh No..."
I dashed back inside to Kahler Tek with Vi hot on my trail and I said: "Why are these people so afraid of newcomers?"
