The room was still. No one spoke. No one moved. The trio - Marcia, Jessica and Olivia, stood on stage, with eyes closed, focused to perform.
Then on cue their sound break out. Soft, low and slow. The melody rising with each stanza as the song pick up tempo, the acapella song had everyone riding a wave. So intense and sweet were their voices that no one seem to breathe.
Even with her friends, David could hear Jessica distinctly. He can never forget that voice. Goosebumps burst through his skin and he felt a tugging at his heart. He closed his eyes allowing the Trio to lift him higher like a drug addict.
It's been a week since they reunited and he cant stop thanking God for him coming. He would have missed out on this experience of seeing her, learning about her all over again.
David was falling in love, all over again. This time it is real. This time he didnt have to hide it or pretend. Jessica was feeling the same. All on her own. There is so much he came to know and yet, so much still missing. She was deliberate not to mention his text, why she left and what happened before her mother died. He was dying to know so much but was careful not to push her.
They did everything together and he kept wondering how hard it will be to go. To let her go again.
The noisey room stir him and bring him back from a cloud. Clapping and whistling wooed the girls, who stood blushing. Jessica had her eyes on David.

'Hey no fair, he wasn't hot at 17. More like nerdy and scrawny'. Jessica giggled.
'Ohhh how the ugly duckling has grown', Marcia teased. 'He is more than a friend now. I see you too. Getting close....
'Den hw cum unu part fi so long?', wah go down? Cause something must happen why in 15yrs unu nu chat', Olivia probed before Marcia could finish her statement.
Jessica was silent.
Olivia was too distracted with her phone to noticed Jessica's facial expression but Marcia was observant.
'Him take your virginity dont Jess? Cause the way how unu a move, look like a him you open up fa in high school'. Olivia noted the silence.
Jessica sat still, heart pounding, hands shaking, tears falling down her cheeks. Marcia called to her,'Jessica'.
Olivia saw her and gently touched her shoulder. Jessica jumped, unaware that she was crying. 'I'm sorry gurls, I've got to go'.
She dashed out the room and into David's solid rippled torso.
Olivia was shouting, 'Jess, I'm sorry, me never mean to'.
'Wooow, Jessica,? He asked puzzled.
She looked up at the man her heart was slowly falling for.
'I I I'm sorry', and she disappeared into the rain. Running over to the hall.By then Marcia and Olivia joined David at the door, watching her.
'What happened?' He asked.
Olivia shrugged and stormed off to her room. Door slamming seconds after.Marcia looked at David, who turn to watch the empty distance where Jessica was last seen running away.
'You love her'?? She asked sounding surprised.
