hoseok walks down the street, yoongi hadn't come to lunch and he wasn't sure why. he had looked for him after lunch as well but he couldn't find him and he was honestly starting to worry. what if something happened to him?
the boy sighs putting his hands in his pockets but a familiar figure in the distance leaning against the wall catches his attention.
yoongi isn't looking at him though, at the moment he couldn't care less about where hoseok is. he sighs bringing the almost empty vodka bottle to his lips. he wants to forget about what hoseok said about him, he thought hoseok was different but apprently he's just like everyone else.
suddenly the same person that he's trying to forget is in front of him knocking the bottle out of his hand, "yoongi! what are you doing?" but he doesn't get a response like he expected instead yoongi rolls his eyes at him and starts walking away but hoseok grabs his wrist stopping him from walking further.
yoongi flinches at the touch and turns to face him, "what do you want?" he growls at him making hoseok frown, "i asked you a question and you walked away from me, why are you standing here drinking by yourself?" hoseok gasps looking closely at him, "your eyes are red to, please don't tell me you're high right now?"
yoongi shrugs pulling his hand away. his words are slurred but hoseok can still manage to understand him, "why does it matter? after all i'm just an alcoholic stoner aren't i?" yoongi shook his head with a small hiccup, "yeah, i heard you at lunch. you're just like everyone else." he starts walking away but stumbles and falls onto the tar.
"yoongi" hoseok bends down next to him and brushes some of the other boys hair away from his face, "that's not what i meant."
yoongi turns over laying on his back, "it sure sounded like that's what you meant." he frowns sitting up again, "why is it so hot?" he asks taking off his jacket that's when hoseok realises he has never seen yoongi without his jacket and now he knows why. his arms are covered in bruises and scratches but none of them look self-made.
he starts trying to take off his shirt but hoseok stops him, "why don't we get you home and finish this conversation in the morning?"
"there's nothing to finish talking about. you think that i'm a shitty person and guess what? i am a shitty person so we're done talking." he tries to stand up again and picks up the surprisingly unbroken bottle hoseok had knocked out his hands taking another sip.
"please yoongi," hoseok walks after him, "you misheard me, i'll walk you home and we can talk then."
yoongi laughs finishing off the rest of the bottle, "do you really think that i have a home to go to? look at me! if i had a good home do you think i would be this way? i didn't want this life." hoseok is taken aback by his words but what surprises him the most is when the other bursts into tears. yoongi just pushes the tears aside and continues speaking, "life used to be bearable hoseok, but things change and people change."
"yoongi..." hoseok slowly reaches for his hand holding it in his and yoongi looks up at the taller male, "do you want to stay at my place for the night? it's friday so my mom won't mind."
yoongi hesitates and looks at their intertwined fingers, he didn't have to be sober to know that he would appreciate a safe place to sleep for at least one night. "please can i?"
"of course," hoseok nods, "let's get you some water before we go okay?"
